AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION FROM SECTION VII, D,
8,b AND SECTION XII, B, 2, b OF ORDINANCE NO. G-60, AS
AMENDED, THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK
BROOK, TO THE PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOWN AS 3725 NORTH
MADISON STREET OAK BROOK ILLINOIS.
WHEREAS, the real property described in Exhibit A
hereto is located within the Village of Oak Brook, DuPage and Cook
Counties, Illinois; and
WHEREAS, said real property is within an R-2 District
as established by the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Oak Brook,
DuPage and Cook Counties, Illinois, Ordinance No. G-60, as amended;
and
WHEREAS, the owner of said real property, Mary Ann
Doehring, has petitioned for a variation to Ordinance G-60, Section
VII, D, 8, b and Section XII, B, 2, b, said petition having been presented
pursuant to Section XIII, G. ; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of
Oak Brook held a public hearing on June 1, 1976, pursuant to the statu-
tory public notice, to hear testimony concerning said petition; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended
that the requested variation be granted based on its finding that construc-
tion of the proposed hip roof will not alter the essential character of
the neighborhood and will not be detrimental to adjacent property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRES-
IDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK,
DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, THAT:
SECTION 1 The Provisions of the Preamble hereinbefore set forth
are restated herein as though herein fully set forth.
SECTION 2: A variation from Section VII, D, 8, b and Section XII,
B, 2, b of Ordinance No. G-60, as amended, is hereby granted to allow
construction of a hip roof on the existing structure on the real property
legally described in Exhibit A hereto and commonlyknown as 3725
North Madison Street, Oak Brook, Illinois.
SECTION 3: All ordinances, rules, and regulations of the Village of
Oak Brook which are in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance
are hereby repealed to the extent of the conflict and only as they apply
to the property hereinbefore described.
SECTION 4: If any section, sub-section, sentence, clause, or phrase of
this Ordinance is for any reason held to be invalid, such determination
shall not affect the validity of any remaining portion of this Ordinance.
SECTION 5: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval as by statute in such case made and provided.

her behal£ for a variation to permit an improvement to an existing
non.-conforming structure. The reQuest is to provide for a peaked
roof on her residence which is reauired to eliminate a front leaking
problem in her home.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hear.ing before the Zoning Board of
�lppeals of the Village of 0ak Brook, DuPage and Cook Counties, Illinois wi12
be held on June l, Z976, at 7:30 P.M. in the Oak Brook Village Hall,
1200 Oak Brook Road, Oalc Brook far the purpose of considering the application
of Mary Ann Doehring for a variation as provided under Section XIII G, of
the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Oak Brook, Ordinance G-60 as amended.
The proposed variation requests seek relief of Section VII D, 8b and Section
XII B, 2b of Ordin�nce G-60 to provide a new hip roof on an existing structure
loca�ed at 3725 Madison Street, Oak Brook, Illinois.
The property may be generally described as 3725 riadison Street, Oak Brook,
Illinois and the legal description of which as follows.
Lot 2 described as the North 93 feet of the South 747 feet of the tidest
379.5 feet of the southwest quarter of Section 36, Township 39 North,
Range 11., East of the Third Princi�al Meridian, (except that part of
said tract falling within the public highway called Madison Avenue) ,
in DuI'age County, Illinois.
