AN ORDINANCE AMEivDlNG CHAPTER 9 OF F THE CODE Of ORDINANCF.S
OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK AND_PROHIBI_TING DISORDL'RI.Y
CONDUCT
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESDIENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES , ILLINOIS asfollotivs :
Section 1 : That Chapter 9 of the Code of Ordinances of the
\Ti:Ilage of Oak Brook be and is hereby amended by adding thereto
Section 9-19 entitled "Disorderly Conduct" which Section shall read
as follows :
a . Elements of the Offense :
A person commits disorderly conduct when lie knowing
1y :
(1) does any act in such an unreasonable manner
as to provoke , make or aid in making a
breach of the peace ; or
(2) does or makes any unreasonable or offensive
act , utterance , gesture or d:i_splav which , under
the circumstances , creates a clear and present
danger of a breach of peace orimm.inent threat -�
of violence ; or
(3) refuses or fails to cease and desist any peace-
ful conduct or activity likely to produce a
breach of the peace where there is an imminent
threat of violence , and where the police have
made all reasonable efforts to protect the
otheriaise peaceful conduct and activity , and
have requested that said conduct and activity
be stopped and explain the request if there be
time ; or
(4) fails to obey a lai�ful order of dispersal by a
person known to him to be a peace officer under
circurn;stances where three (3) or more persons
are committing acts of d-isor;lerly conduct in
the immediate vicin=ity , which acts are likely- to
cause substantial harm or serious inconvenience ,
annoyance , or alarm; or
(5) carries in a threatening or menacing way without
authority of law any pistol. , revolver , dagger ,
razor , dangerous knife , stilletto , knuckles ,
slingshot , or other dangerous weapon ; or conceals
said weapon on or about the person or veh=icle ; or
(b) consumes any alcoholic liquor on any public i�ay
or in or about any motor vehi.cic upon a public. way;
or
(7) transmits in any in,-inner to the Dire Department
a false alarm of fire , Rnowing at the tune of such
transmission that there is no reasonable ground
for believing that said fire exists .

Disorderly Conduct
b . Penalty
Any person violating any of the provisions of this Section
shall be subject to a fine of not more than $500 . 00 for
each such offense .
Section 2 : All ordinances , rules and regulations in conflict
with t} e provis:ions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed to the ex-
tent of such conflict .
Section 3 : That this Ordinance shall be in full force And effect
from and after- is passage , approval and publication in pamphlet form
as provided by law .
Section_ 4 : That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized and
directed to publish this Ordinance in pamphlet form in the manner
provided by law .
