G-850 - 01/08/2008 - COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT - OrdinancesORDINANCE 2008- CD -BC -G -850 AN ORDINANCE REVISING THE BOND AND FEE SCHEDULE BY AMENDING SECTION 10 -4 -1 B OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees have determined that it is necessary to increase the current building permit fee schedule in order to defray the Village's increased costs relative to the issuance of building permits and to protect the public health, safety and welfare. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, as follows: Section 1: The foregoing preamble is restated and incorporated herein by reference as though fully set forth herein. Section 2: Section 10 -4 -1 B of the Village Code is hereby amended by deleting the existing text and substituting the following in lieu thereof: B. Unit of Volume Cost: Figure a fraction larger than one -half (1/2) as a full unit. Fee 1. New Buildings: Commercial, Office and Industrial: Base permit fee $1,190.00 Plus $9.50 per 1,000 cubic feet Residential: Base permit fee 656.00 Plus $3.50 per 1,000 cubic feet 2. Inspection fee (each) 53.00 A fee based on the estimated number of inspections will be assessed prior to permit issuance. Additional inspections will require payment of an additional fee. 22. Cleanup and street bond: Commercial 682.00 Residential 340.00 23. Completion bond: Each 656.00 24. Starting work without a permit: Each 160.00 25. Occupancy of a building or structure without final inspection and /or issuance of occupancy permit: Each 160.00 26. Application fee (required for each permit application) 34.00 Section 4: If any section, paragraph, clause or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid, the invalidity thereof shall not effect any of the other provisions of this ordinance. Section 5: All ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict. Section 6.
