AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 12-86 OF THE
CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, ILLINOIS
RELATIVE TO BOND REQUIREMENTS FOR WORK WITHIN
STREET RIGHTS-OF-WAY
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook,
Illinois have heretofore adopted Section 12-86 of the Code of Ordinances of said
Village, which Section sets forth certain bond and insurance requirements for
work within street rights-of-way; and

7,1011, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF OAK -�ROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as f6lldws
Sect16a:l:'""That Section 12-86(B)(3) of the Code of Ordinances of the
Village of Oak $rook, Illinois be and is hereby amended to read as follows:
(3) Bono required. Each applicant for a permit required by this
.:article for 'work within street rights-of-way shall file a cash bond
in the:ainount of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) conditioned to
indemnify t'he Village for any loss or damage resulting from the
work pndertaken or the manner of doing the same. This bond may
also be used by the Village to complete the work in accordance with
the permit application and plans in the event that the permittee
fails to complete said work upon fifteen (15) days notice to do so.
Section 2: All ordinances, rules and regulations of the Village of Oak
Brook which are in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 3: If any section, sub-section, sentence, clause or phrase of this
Ordinance is for any reason held to be invalid, such determination shall not
affect the validity of any remaining portion of this Ordinance.
Section 4: This Ordinace shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage, approval and publication in pamphlet form as provided by law.
Section 5: The Village Clerk is hereby authortized and directed to publish
this Ordinance in pamphlet form as required by law.
