AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. G-177, THE TRAFFIC CODE OF
THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, ILLINOIS, AS AMENDED, AND PROVIDING FOR THE
DESIGNATION OF FIRE LANES
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook
have heretofore enacted Ordinance G-177 being an Ordinance regulating traffic
within the Village of Oak Brook, which Ordinance has from time to time been
amended; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook
deem it advisable and in the best interest and in furtherance of the general
welfare and citizens of the Village of Oak Brook that Ordinance No. G-177 be
further amended by designating additional fire lanes in the area of the United
States Post Office, 1314 Kensington, and the building at 1111 22nd Street, and
further that the designated fire lane at Stouffer's Inn, 2100 Spring Road, be
deleted because the designation is no longer required since the exterior
renovation of this building has been completed; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook
deem it advisable and in the best interest and in furtherance of the general
welfare and citizens of the Village of Oak Brook that Ordinance No. G-177 be
further amended by alphabetizing the list of business addresses and more
particularly designate the area of the fire lanes by adopting Schedule XV as set
forth below; and
WHEREAS, the proposed amendments are made pursuant to authority set forth in
the Illinois Vehicle Code, Chapter 95 112 of the Illinois Revised Statutes as
adopted by the Village of Oak Brook in Ordinance G-177.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows:
Section 1: That the provisions of the preamble hereinabove set forth are
hereby incorporated herein as though fully set forth herein.
Section 2: That in accordance with the provisions of Section 1-1303(a)(3)a
of Ordinance G-177, Schedule XV is hereby amended to read in its entirety as
follows:

Section 3: That the appropriate officers and employees of the Village of
Oak Brook are hereby authorized and directed to post such signs in conformance
with the provisions of Section 2 of this Ordinance to implement the provisions of
this Ordinance.
Section 4: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage, approval, publication in pamphlet form and the posting of
appropriate signs as directed in Section 3 hereof.
Section 5: That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to
publish this Ordinance in pamphlet form as required by law.
