ORDINANCE NO. G- 416
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 12-405 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES
�.. OF THE VII.LAGE OF OAK BROOK RELATIVE TO LANDSCAPE SPRINKLING
WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance S-286 passed July 24, 1973, the corporate
authorities restricted landscape sprinkling as a water conservation measure;
and
WHEREAS, said prohibition has been reviewed by the corporate authorities;
and
WHEREAS, amendment of said provision is deemed appropriate in order to
accommodate needs for landscape sprinkling while at the same time promoting
the policy and goal of water conservation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, as follows:
Section 1: That the provisions of the preamble hereinabove set forth are
hereby adopted as though fully set forth herein.
l Section 2: That Section 12-405 of the Code of Ordinances of the Village
of Oak Brook be and is hereby amended to read as follows:
Landscape sprinkling as prohibited in Section 12-403 shall be
permitted between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. on
even-numbered street addresses on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday
and on odd-numbered street addresses on Tuesday, Thursday and
Saturday. No sprinkling shall be allowed on Monday.
Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after passage, approval and publication in pamphlet form as provided by
law.
Section 4: That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to
publish this Ordinance in pamphlet form in the manner provided by law.
