AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING A COMPREHENSIVE AMENDMENT
TO CHAPTER 14 ENTITLED, "VILLAGE RECREATIONAL FACILITIES
OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES
OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, the Village Manager has recommended a comprehensive amendment to
Chapter 14 entitled, "Village Recreational Facilities" of the Code of Ordinances of the Village of
Oak Brook; and
WHEREAS, the Village President and Board of Trustees have reviewed this
comprehensive amendment and have approved the changes recommended by the Village
Manager;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES,
ILLINOIS as follows:
Section 1: That the provisions of the preamble hereinabove set forth are hereby
adopted as though fully set forth herein.
Section 2: That Chapter 14 entitled, "Village Recreational Facilities" of the Code of
Ordinances of the Village of Oak Brook is amended to read as set forth in the attached exhibit
labeled Exhibit A and incorporated herein by reference.
Section 3: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage, approval and publication as required by law.
Section 4: That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to publish this
ordinance in pamphlet form in the manner provided by law.

ARTICLE I. IN GENERAL

ARTICLE II. SPORTS CORE, GOLF CLUB,
BATH AND TENNIS CLUB
DIVISION 1. GENERALLY
Sec. 14-11.Sports Core open fields; utilization.
(a) Scheduling and Permits. Requests to utilize the open field
or show field areas for recreational sporting events shall be made to
the Bath and Tennis Club manager at least thirty (30)days in
advance (45 days in advance for Field 2).
Reservations will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis and
confirmed only upon receipt of a deposit.
Use of the Sports Core for recreational sporting events which
involve spectator admission fees or concessions shall be limited to
nonprofit amateur organizations.
Uses of open fields for polo must be arranged by separate
agreement with the Village.
Nonsporting use of open fields or show field areas must be
arranged by separate agreement with the Village.
All events shall be subject to the ordinances and regulations of
the Village with respect to licenses and permits.
(b) Fees. For open fields,there shall be a daily user fee of two
hundred dollars ($200.00) per field (approximately twelve (12) acres)
for up to four(4) hours of use, plus an additional one hundred dollars
($100.00) per field for each hour(or part thereof) of use for over four

(4) hours, except as arranged by separate agreement approved by
the Village Manager. The show field rental shall be five hundred
dollars($500.00) per day, except as arranged by separate
agreement approved by the Village Manager.
Fees for the use of the open field or show field include only the
availability of the basic facility as it normally exists. Additional
facilities or services may be required for a particular event; the cost
of such facilities or services shall be the obligation of the user.
(c) Additional requirements. Whenever an event involves an
admission fee or concessions:
(1) Security services acceptable to the Village will be required;
(2) A five hundred dollar($500.00) cash cleanup bond must be
provided two (2)weeks in advance of event;
(3) Portable rest room facilities must be arranged through the
Village;
(4) Field setup must be arranged exclusively through the
Village. Billing for all services detailed in subsection (c) (1),
(3) and (4) of this section shall be through the Village and all
fees must be prepaid two (2)weeks prior to the event; and
(5) A deposit with reservation applications in an amount
consistent with overall service requests as determined by
the Village Manager shall be required.
(d) Permitted And Prohibited Activities:
(1) There shall be no camping or picnicking on the Sports Core,
except as specifically authorized in connection with an
approved event.
(2) No events shall be authorized or scheduled which require
the installation of permanent facilities or the alteration or
obstruction of open field areas. Open field events shall be
scheduled and held only during the daylight hours.
(3) Cross-country skiing shall be permitted on any area
of the Sports Core, except the golf course.
(4) Snowmobiles, motorbikes, motorcycles and other
off-the-road vehicles shall not be operated on the
Sports Core. Motorcycles may be operated only on
paved roadways.

(5) No person may go in or upon any pond or other
body of water, whether liquid or frozen, in the Sports
Core except maintenance personnel authorized by
the Bath &Tennis Club Manager or the Golf Club
Manager; notwithstanding the foregoing general
prohibition, at the pond adjacent to the Bath &
Tennis Club,wading shall be permitted in a
designated roped-off area when a lifeguard is
present, and canoeing and paddle boating shall be
permitted in strict conformity with Section 14-
13(g)(5)."
(e) Rental insurance. Any person renting outdoor Sports Core
facilities shall be required to provide proof of insurance for the
proposed activity as required by the Village Manager two (2)weeks
prior to the event.
(f) Bridle and walking paths. Sports Core bridle and walking
paths shall be open to the general public. All operations of
commercial stables shall pay a five-hundred-dollar($500.00) annual
fee for utilization of the Sports Core bridle path system.
(g) Parking. Limited parking may be available for open field
events,weather permitting. The Village reserves the right to require
off-site parking at its discretion. All costs associated with off-site
parking must be paid by the holder of the event.
Sec. 14-12. Oak Brook Golf Club.
(a) Definitions.
(1) Corporate resident employee: A full-time employee
whose primary place of employment is within the corporate
limits of the Village.
(2) Junior: A minor child under twenty-one (21) years of age.
Junior members may play without payment of additional
greens fees at any time the course is open, except on
weekends or holidays.
A junior member under age twelve (12) may not play at any
time unless accompanied by an adult.
(3) Nonresident: Any person residing outside the corporate
limits of the Village.
(4) Resident: Any person permanently residing within the

corporate limits of the Village and all full-time employees of
the Village, as defined in Article I of the Personnel Rules
and Regulations of the Village, and full-time employees of
the Oak Brook Park District.
(5) Resident discount for juniors and seniors: Any resident
sixty(60) years of age or older(senior) or under twenty-one
(21) years of age (junior),will pay a reduced rate.
(6) Season member: Person paying season pass fees.
(7) Senior: Any person sixty (60) years of age or older. Senior
members may play without payment of additional greens
fees any time, except weekends or holidays. Members may
play during these excepted times by paying the prevailing
greens fees.
(8) Unlimited season membership: Permits holder to play
without payment of additional greens fees at any time
course is open.
(b) Policies:
(1) Oak Brook businesses. Corporate resident employees shall
be entitled to purchase corporate resident season memberships
to the Oak Brook Golf Club. Anyone purchasing a season
membership under this policy shall be required to present a
current certification of employment from his or her employer.
Corporate resident employees not holding a season membership
shall pay the nonresident greens fee rates.
(2) Golf club season membership.
A. Season members will be issued a plastic card indicating the
type of season membership and the member's name. Such
cards will be used for identification and for charging at the
Oak Brook Golf Club. Junior memberships shall include
charging privileges only upon the written consent of the
parent or legal guardian.
B. All accounts will be payable upon receipt of statements. Any
balance not paid within thirty (30)days of the statement date
shall be charged an interest fee of one and five tenths (1.5)
percent(eighteen (18) percent annual rate). Charging
privileges on any accounts with an unpaid balance over sixty
(60) days old will be canceled. Memberships will not be
renewed until any balance from previous seasons has been
paid in full.

C. Golf club season memberships shall entitle members to the
associated playing privileges only during those times when
the course is declared open for play by the Golf Club
manager and only during the year indicated on such
membership.
(3) Bath and Tennis Club. Season memberships at the Bath and
Tennis Club shall not include season membership privileges at
the Oak Brook Golf Club. However, Bath and Tennis Club
season membership cards can be used at the Oak Brook Golf
Club to qualify for appropriate greens fee rates and may also
be used for charging privileges at the Oak Brook Golf Club.
(4) Golf outings. A golf outing may be arranged through the Golf
Club manager if, in his/her judgment, such a function will not
significantly affect daily fee play. Greens fee rates for such
functions may be set by separate agreement approved by the
Village Manager.
(5) Golf lessons. Lessons will be available for a fee through the
Oak Brook Golf professional staff.
(6) Golf season. The Oak Brook Golf Club and Driving Range
will be open between April 1st and November 1st,weather and
conditions permitting. The course and driving range shall not
be open during the period of any multiple-day golf tournament
authorized to be played on the premises. Some or all of the
golf course may be closed for maintenance purposes at the
discretion of the Golf Club Manager.
(7) Attire. Appropriate attire, including shirts with sleeves and
collar, shall be worn at all times by persons utilizing the golf
club.
(c) Greens fees; nonmembers, including surcharge:

*Note: See subsection 0) for golf surcharge. Any individual who
has either a family or individual membership at the Bath and Tennis
Club will qualify for a twenty (20) percent discount applied to their
golf season membership.
(e) Permanent reserved weekend starting times:
(1) Availability: Tee times will be available for eighteen (18) holes
on Saturdays and Sundays for the period from approximately
the last Saturday in April through the last weekend in September
at such times as designated by the Golf Club manager, provided
that there shall be no permanent reserved starting times on Oak
Brook Day and any multiple-day golf tournament authorized to
be played on the premises.
(2) Order of Drawing: The permanent reserved weekend starting
time draw will be held annually in the spring after the brochure is
mailed. Application for this drawing must be made in writing on
forms provided by the Village. The order of the drawing will be
as follows:
A. Unlimited resident season members as further described
herein;
B. Unlimited corporate resident employee season members;
C. Unlimited nonresident season members;
D. Residents;
E. Nonresidents.
Drawing priority in each category will be according to the
number of individuals in each foursome who meet the applicable
criterion for the category.
(3) Conditions of Drawing: The drawing will be held under the

following conditions:
A. One (1) person of a foursome can qualify for a drawing
category;
B. One (1) person of a foursome must be present at the
drawing;
C. Only foursomes may apply for the drawing;
D. A person may apply as a member of one (1) foursome for
both Saturday and Sunday;
E. If all tee times are filled,the drawing will continue to
establish a standby list of golfers. These standby foursomes
will be used to fill in any times that are canceled before the
golf course opens or for those times that are canceled
during the playing season;
F. A deposit of two-hundred dollars ($200.00)will be required
for each foursome either in cash, or by credit card guarantee
provided by the foursome captain. The deposit will be
refunded in December if no forfeiture has occurred.
(4) Tee time forfeiture. If tee time is not canceled at least four(4)
days prior to play, and the foursome does not show for play, it
will be the responsibility of the foursome to fill these spots with
other golfers. Should a foursome not show up or fails to fill their
spot, they will be charged the appropriate nonresident greens
fee notwithstanding the membership status of the missing
member(s) of the foursome. A season membership will not
preclude or absolve a foursome from this charge. All charges
will be made by deductions from the foursome's deposit. Should
a foursome's tee time deposit reach a negative balance, the tee
time will be forfeited.
(5) Nonpermanent tee times. On weekends and holidays
forfeited, canceled and undrawn permanent times and all other
weekend and holiday times will be available for reservation not
more than eight (8)days in advance. Weekday times will be
available for reservation not more than eight (8)days in
advance. Other times will be available on a first-come, first-
served basis. Tee times may be reserved more than eight (8)
days in advance by the Golf Club manager for golf outings. All
tee times will be guaranteed by credit card. Cancellations will
be accepted up to twenty-four(24) hours in advance of the tee
times.

(f) Golf leagues. A golf league is any group of golfers of
significant size for which a standard block of starting times is
reserved on a consistent basis, normally weekly. There will be
at most two (2) golf league categories,twilight golf leagues and
morning golf leagues.
Twilight golf leagues will be assigned to Oak Brook businesses
or Oak Brook organizations on a first-come, first-served basis.
Morning leagues will be assigned annually: first to those leagues
who had times the previous year, then to all other groups on a
first-come, first-served basis.
The golf league schedule times listed below may be extended
for an Oak Brook organization or business golf league, provided
the Golf Club manager determined that such an extension is into
a time period with a low level of play where the daily fee use
would not be significantly affected.
Golf league participants shall pay the applicable greens fee rate,
except as arranged by separate agreement approved by the
Village Manager.
Golf league tee times will be scheduled only between the
following times:
Monday 4:00 p.m.to 6:00 p.m.
Tuesday 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
4:00 p.m.to 6:00 p.m.

(g) Golf Cart Rental Fees.

(h) Rules and Regulations. The Oak Brook Golf Club operating
rules and regulations are as follows:
(1) All golfers much check in with the cashier prior to tee off.
(2) Proper golf attire must be wom at all times, including shirts

with sleeves and collar, and golf shoes or flat-soled shoes.
(3) No food or alcoholic beverages may be brought onto the
golf course or Sports Core property, other than those
purchased from the golf course or Bath and Tennis Club
refreshment areas.
(4) Twosomes will be paired off by the starter.
(5) No fivesomes or more will be allowed, except with the
approval of the golf professional.
(6) Golf carts must be picked up and returned to the cart area.
(7) Golf carts are not allowed in the parking lot.
(8) Parking for all activities, including the driving range, must
be in the parking lot only.
(9) Golf bags are not permitted in the clubhouse.
(10) Replace divots and repair all ball marks.
(11) Golf rules and etiquette must be followed at all times.
(12) All golfers must report to the starter on the first tee.
(13) Card playing in the clubhouse is not permitted at any time.
(14) Keep play moving and keep pace with the group in front of
you.
(15) No domestic animals or pets are permitted on the golf
course except as authorized by the Golf Club Manager.
(16) On Saturdays and Sundays between 6:00 a.m. and 1:00
p.m. each tee-time group is responsible for four(4) greens
fees.
(17) Only daily fee players, driving range customers, and season
members may utilize the practice greens.
(18) No person may go in or upon any pond or other body of
water, whether liquid or frozen, on the Oak Brook Golf
Course except maintenance personnel authorized by the
Golf Club Manager."
(i) Driving range. The cost of a bucket of sixty(60) balls is five

dollars fifty cents($5.50) for residents and six dollars fifty
cents($6.50)for nonresidents. A driving range token card
(20 tokens) may be purchased for forty-four dollars($44.00)
for residents and fifty-two dollars($52.00)for non-residents.
The driving range rules and regulations are as follows:
(1) Keep bags and golf carts behind fence.
(2) Return pails to ball dispenser.
(3) Practice only between tee markers.
(4) Aim at flag poles only.
(5) Do not retrieve balls in front of tee markers.
(6) Driving ranges only at Field 1 (lower Field front 9) and
Field 2 (upper range back 9) on days opened.
(7) Range open from April 1st to November 1st, seven (7)
days a week, weather permitting. Hours of operation are
from the first tee time until one-half(1/2) hour before
dusk.
(8) Purchase tokens or range cards in pro shop for range
balls in ball dispenser.
(9) Practice only at south end of Field 1 and at north end of
Field 2.
(10) Users of range may not walk across the golf course.
(11) Parking for driving ranges will only be in the golf course
parking lot.
(12) Shirts must be worn on the driving range.
(j) Surcharge. In addition to any greens fee or membership fee
paid, each person utilizing the golf course at the Oak Brook
Golf Club shall pay a surcharge of one dollar and fifty cents
($1.50) per round of golf played.
Sec. 14-13. Oak Brook Bath and Tennis Club
(a) The Bath and Tennis Club consists of:
(1) A clubhouse, including:

Kitchen facilities;
Dining room facilities;
Locker and shower facilities;
Bar facilities;
Covered patio facilities.
(2) Outdoor swimming pools, including:
A wading pool;
An Olympic-size pool;
A diving pool.
(3) A lake with canoes.
(4) A barbecue snack pavilion with picnic tables.
(5) Outdoor tennis courts.
(b) Season membership and fee schedule:

Membership fees in unlimited classes paid prior to March 1 will be reduced $50.00. Membership
fees in the swimming only and tennis only classes paid prior to March 1 will be reduced $25.00.
(c) Membership and guest definitions. Persons paying the
family, individual or social fee shall be known as
members.
(1) Unlimited Family. (Type A) Will include husband
and/or wife and all children under the age of twenty-five

(25) permanently residing in the household of the
principal member or members. Membership will entitle
the participant to utilize all the facilities.
(2) Unlimited Individual. (Type B) Will be an individual at
least twenty-one (21) years of age. Membership will
entitle the participant to utilize all the facilities.
(3) Unlimited Individual Junior. (Type C) Will be an
individual between the ages of six(6) and twenty-one
(21). Membership will entitle the participant to utilize all
the facilities, subject to rules governing use of the
facilities by children.
(4) Unlimited Individual Senior. (Type D) Will be an
individual at least sixty (60)years of age. Membership
will entitle the participant to utilize all the facilities.
(5) Swimming Family. (Type A) Will include husband
and/or wife and all children under the age of twenty-five
(25) permanently residing in the household of the
principal member or members. Membership will entitle
the participant to utilize the swimming facilities; tennis
facilities may be utilized not more than four times[per
family member] per season, provided that the applicable
guest fee is paid.
(6) Swimming Individual. (Type B) Will be an individual
at least twenty-one (21)years of age. Membership will
entitle the participant to utilize the swimming facilities;
tennis facilities may be utilized not more than four times
[per family member] per season, provided that the
applicable guest fee is paid.
(7) Swimming Individual Junior. (Type C) Will be an
individual between the ages of six (6) and twenty-one
(21). Membership will entitle the participant to utilize the
swimming facilities, subject to rules governing use of
these facilities by children; tennis facilities may be
utilized not more than four times per year for juniors
over the age of sixteen (16), provided that the
applicable guest fee is paid.
(8) Swimming Individual Senior. (Type D) Will be an
individual at least sixty (60) years of age. Membership
will entitle the participant to utilize the swimming
facilities;tennis facilities may be utilized not more than
four times[per family member] per season, provided

that the applicable guest fee is paid.
(9) Tennis Family. (Type A) Will include husband and/or
wife and all children under the age of twenty-five(25)
permanently residing in the household of the principal
member or members. Membership will entitle the
participant to utilize the tennis facilities; swimming
facilities may be utilized not more than four times[per
family member] per season, provided that the applicable
guest fee is paid.
(10) Tennis Individual. (Type B) Will be an individual at
least twenty-one (21) years of age. Membership will
entitle the participant to utilize the tennis facilities;
swimming facilities may be utilized not more than four
times[per family member] per season, provided that the
applicable guest fee is paid.
(11) Tennis Individual Junior. (Type C) Will be an
individual between the ages of six (6) and twenty-one
(21). Membership will entitle the participant to utilize the
tennis facilities, subject to rules governing use of these
facilities by children; swimming facilities may be utilized
not more than four times per year for juniors over the
age of sixteen (16), provided that the applicable guest
fee is paid.
(12) Tennis Individual Senior. (Type D) Will be an
individual at least sixty(60) years of age. Membership
will entitle the participant to utilize the tennis facilities;
swimming facilities may be utilized not more than four
times [per family member] per season, provided that the
applicable guest fee is paid.
(13) Resident Any person permanently residing within the
corporate limits of the Village and all full-time,
employees of the Village, as defined in Article I of the
Personnel Rules and Regulations of the Village, and full-
time employees of the Oak Brook Park District.
(14) Social Member. Will include individuals and all
persons permanently residing in the household of the
principal member. Membership will entitle the
participants to utilize the clubhouse dining facilities and
to invite unlimited dining guests. Social members may
use the Bath and Tennis recreation facilities not more
than four(4)times a year, provided that they pay the
prevailing guest fee in the Sports Core office.

(15) Bath and Tennis guests. Will be individuals registered
by a family or individual member, to utilize the tennis
courts and swimming pools and shall be limited to four
(4)visits per year. Guests may not charge vouchers
and must be accompanied by the member at all times.
A member shall not be permitted to have more than
nine (9)guests per day without the approval of the Bath
and Tennis Club Manager. Individual guest fees per
person are set forth below:

No guest fee is required for child care providers whose sole
purpose at the Club is to supervise members' children,
provided that the member registers said child care provider
with the Bath and Tennis Club Manager or his/her designee,
and provided further that said child care provider makes no
charges at the Club and wears an identifying badge
furnished by the Club at all times while on Sports Core
property. The member shall be responsible for the return of
each identifying badge on or before the close of business
each day. A parent will not be considered a child care
provider.
For a fee of one hundred dollars ($100.00) per season, a
child care provider over the age of 16 may be given
charging privileges by the member, provided all other
conditions of child care providers are met and the charging
privilege is not abused.
(d) Membership identification and charging.
(1) Members will be issued plastic cards indicating the type of
membership and the holder's name. Such cards will be
used for charging at the Bath and Tennis Club.
(2) All accounts will be payable upon receipt of statements.

Any balance not paid within thirty(30)days of the statement
date shall be charged an interest fee of one and five-tenths
(1.5) percent (18 percent annual rate). Membership
privileges on any accounts with unpaid balances over sixty
(60)days will be canceled, and any accounts with unpaid
balances over one-hundred-twenty(120)days will be
terminated from the club. Children under the age of sixteen
(16) unaccompanied by an adult are not permitted in the
clubhouse.
(3) Payment for goods and services at the Bath and Tennis Club
shall be by way of charging, utilizing membership cards.
However, at the barbecue hut, prepaid coupons must be
used by all members. Prepaid coupons, in twelve-dollar
($12.00) books, plus applicable sales tax, may be obtained at
the clubhouse by utilizing a membership card.
(4) All charges for lessons and programs shall be charged
through the Bath and Tennis Club. Fee schedules for
lessons shall be posted at the clubhouse. There will be no
refunds.
(5) Locker rentals shall be on a first-come, first-served basis.
The annual rental charge per locker shall be thirty dollars
($30.00). Not more than sixty percent (60%) of the lockers
shall be rented. All persons renting lockers must supply their
own lock. The Bath and Tennis Club will not be held
responsible for any lost or stolen items. Daily fee is two
dollars ($2.00). All locks and belongings shall be removed
from lockers on or before Labor Day.
(6) Any member challenging a charge on his/her account must
do so within 45 days of the statement date or the charge will
stand.
(e) Operation of Clubhouse. The Bath and Tennis Club
facilities will maintain hours as follows:
(1) Clubhouse Office: May 1st to Labor Day (in season), 10:00
a.m.to 7:00 p.m., 7 days per week; Labor Day to May 1st
(off-season), 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through
Saturday.
(2) Clubhouse Dining Room: Luncheon service—Wednesdays
only--Memorial Day to Labor Day--11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.;
Special member events and dinners as scheduled and noted
on monthly calendar.

(3) Barbecue Hut: Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day, 11:30
a.m. to 6:30 p.m., seven (7)days per week, weather
permitting.
(4) Tennis Court: Beverage services will be available during all
hours of tennis operation in tennis season.
(5) Restrictions: Persons under twenty-one (21) years of age will
not be served alcoholic beverages. The Bath and Tennis
Club staff reserves the right to refuse service to any person
who has had, in their judgment,too much to drink or may be
otherwise impaired.
(f) Rules and regulations. The Oak Brook Bath and Tennis
Club-house operating rules and regulations are as follows:
(1) The clubhouse is operated for the exclusive use of members
and their guests during the previously-listed hours of
operation.
(2) Members must accompany their guests when dining in the
clubhouse or using the other designated food service
facilities.
(3) Proper attire is required in the dining room.
(4) Children under the age of sixteen (16)years old must be
accompanied by an adult member when dining in the Club,
and may not sign tickets.
(5) All food and beverage services will be paid for through the
club member's account. A ticket for these services will be
signed by the member. Members must add gratuities, as
they are not automatically added to the bill.
(6) No food or beverages are allowed to be brought into the club.
(7) All members are required to use coupon books to purchase
food and beverages at the barbecue hut. The books are
twelve dollars($12.00) each and may be purchased in the
clubhouse office, at the barbecue hut, or at the tennis courts.
(8) Children, guests and members are asked to use the outside
entrances to the locker rooms, except when going from the
dining room to the locker rooms.
(9) The Bath and Tennis Club cannot be held responsible for the

loss of personal property. Members and their guests are
asked to rent lockers at the prevailing rates either daily or
seasonally.
(10) No person may go in or upon any pond or other body of
water, whether liquid or frozen, in the Sports Core except
maintenance personnel authorized by the Bath &Tennis
Club Manager; notwithstanding the foregoing general
prohibition, at the pond adjacent to the Bath &Tennis
Club, wading shall be permitted in a designated roped-off
area when a lifeguard is present, and canoeing and
paddle boating shall be permitted in strict conformity with
Section 14-13(g)(5)."
(g) Operation of swimming pools (weather permitting).
(1) The pools may be utilized only by family or individual season
members and their registered guests
(2) The pools will be open between the Saturday immediately
before the federally-observed Memorial Day and the day after
Labor Day, or as determined by the board of trustees,
weather permitting.
(3) Group and individual swimming and diving lessons will be
available through the club instructors.
(4) Swim team fee schedule:
1st child in family $75.00
2nd child in family 60.00
3rd child in family 50.00
All additional children 15.00
(5) The Oak Brook Bath and Tennis Club swimming pool and
canoeing rules and regulations are as follows:
A. No inner-tubes, nonsafety flotation devices, or pool toys
will be allowed in the pool areas.
B. Nonswimmers who can't stand in the shallow area must
have someone over the age of thirteen (13) in the water
with them at all times.
C. There will be no cut-off shorts or gym shorts allowed in
the pool. All swimmers must be wearing a swimsuit. No
thong swim suits will be permitted.

D. There will be absolutely no one allowed in the pool area,
unless a lifeguard is on duty.
E. There will be no diving in the shallow area of the pools.
F. There will be no running, pushing or towel snapping.
G. There will be only one(1) person on the diving board at a
time; no double bouncing will be permitted.
H. Bathers will stay off of the pool divider ropes.
I. The diving boards are restricted to those able to meet the
deep water requirements.
J. Children under the age of twelve (12) must be
accompanied by an adult at all times, (except for
organized swim team activities), provided that after 5:30
p.m., children under the age of sixteen (16) must be
accompanied by an adult.
K. There will be no canoeing or paddle boating permitted on
the lake unless a lifeguard is on duty. Persons using the
canoes or paddle boat must be wearing a life jacket at
all times.
L. Swimming is not allowed in the lake at any time.
M. DuPage County Health Department Regulations require:
1. Admission to the pool is refused to all persons having
a contagious disease, infectious conditions, such as
colds, fever, ringworm, foot infections, skin lesions,
carbuncles, boils, inflamed eyes, ear discharges, or
any other condition which has the appearance of
being infectious. Persons with excessive sunburn,
abrasions which have not healed, corn plasters,
bunion pads, adhesive tape, rubber bandages, or
other bandages of any kind are not to be permitted. A
person under the influence of alcohol or exhibiting
erratic behavior shall not be permitted in the pool
area.
2. No food, drink, gum or tobacco will be allowed in other
than a specially designated and controlled section of
the pool area; any food or drink must be purchased at
Bath and Tennis Club refreshment areas.

3. All persons will be required to take a shower in the
nude with soap and warm water before being allowed
in the pool area.
4. Bathers who leave the pool area for any required to
shower before retuming to the pool.
5. The Bath and Tennis Club manager has the authority
to require swimmers with long hair to wear bathing
caps.
6. Personal conduct within the pool facility must be such
that the safety of self and others is not jeopardized.
No running, boisterous or rough play, except
supervised water sports, is permitted.
7. People in street shoes and other spectators are not
allowed in the pool, on the pool deck, and in the "wet"
areas of the bathhouse.
8. Spitting, spouting of water, blowing the nose or
otherwise introducing contaminants into the pool is not
permitted.
9. Glass, soap, lotion, or other material which might
create hazardous conditions or interfere with efficient
operation of the swimming pool shall not be permitted
in the swimming pool or on the pool deck.
10. All apparel wom in the pool shall be clean.
11. Diving in shallow water is not permitted.
12. Caution shall be exercised in the use of diving
boards.
13. Attendants must be present in locker rooms.
14. Proper attire must be wom (cover-ups and shoes).
N. No tanning aids or lotions are allowed in the water.
(h) Operation of tennis courts.
(1) The tennis courts may be utilized by family or
individual members and their registered guests.
(2) The outdoor tennis courts may be utilized by Family or

Individual Season Members and their registered
guests. The tennis courts will be supervised by Club
Pro and staff from May 1st to October 1st (weather
permitting. The nets will be up and the courts will be
open on a first-come, first-served basis from April 15
to October 1 on the asphalt courts, and from May 15
to September 15 on the Har-Tru courts(weather
permitting. The outdoor courts will be open during
these dates seven (T) days per week from dawn until
dusk for members and their guests. All members and
their guests are required to sign in at the Pro Shop to
obtain a court assignment. Membership fees must be
paid in full before you are permitted to use the
facilities.
(3) The four(4) Indoor Har-Tru courts at the Oak Brook
Tennis Dome are available for use from Labor Day to
Memorial Day for programs and permanent court
time. Court rates are $24.00 per hour.
(4) The Oak Brook Bath and Tennis Club's tennis courts
operating rules and regulations are as follows:
A. All members must sign in and register for use of
the courts at the pro shop.
B. All members must sign in their guests and pay the
guest fee in the pro shop prior to use of the courts.
C. Courts may be taken out of service due to moisture
or dryness or any other reason at the discretion of
the Bath and Tennis Club manager.
D. Club sponsored activities have the use of the
courts over general play. Activities are controlled
by the Bath and Tennis Club manager and are
listed in the monthly calendar of events.
E. Play is limited to one(1) hour when people are
waiting for a court. You may specify a preference
as to type of court you desire to play on (clay or
hard) and may wait for that particular type of court
to become available.
F. You may not be on a court and be signed up on the
waiting list for another court.
G. Everyone has an equal right to use the courts,

provided there is no waiting list for courts. In the
event that there is a waiting list for courts,
unlimited members and tennis members take
priority over others.
H. All members are kindly requested to sign their
charge slips before an event starts, or lesson
begins, or at the time of purchase.
I. Tennis attire and tennis shoes must be wom at all
times at the tennis courts. No running shoes, cut-off
shorts, or bathing suits are allowed. Swimmers are
required to wear a cover-up when visiting the tennis
courts. Only soft court shoes are acceptable on
Har-Tru clay courts.
J. No alcoholic beverages or food may be brought onto
the Bath and Tennis Club or Sports Core property
other than those purchased from the golf course or
Bath and Tennis Club refreshment areas.
K. Children under the age of twelve (12) shall not be
left unattended by an adult at the tennis courts.
L. All bicycles shall be stored in the bike rack; not on
the sidewalks next to the pro shop.
M. Quiet is requested so that players can concentrate on
their games. Absolutely no horseplay will be
tolerated at the courts.
N. All trash shall be deposited in trash containers.
(i) Clubhouse rental.
(1) The clubhouse may be rented for private parties or
events subject to availability and so as not to conflict
with scheduled membership events and commitments.
(2) The clubhouse will be available at the following rates:

gratuities) service for a scheduled event exceeds the
minimums shown below,there will be no clubhouse rental

individual members for the current season.
(4) Maximum seating with existing equipment is one-

hundred-fifty (150). In the event any additional
equipment is required, an additional charge will be
made.
(5) All food and beverage service shall be provided only
by the Bath and Tennis Club staff.
(6) Notwithstanding the above fee schedule and
minimums,the dining room may be used, subject to
the approval of the Bath and Tennis Club Manager,
for meetings and events hosted or sponsored by the
Village, and by regularly organized civic or not-for-
profit organizations, a majority of whose members are
Oak Brook residents, for meetings and events related
to their civic or not-for-profit purposes, with no rental
fee and no minimum net food charge. Qualifying
organizations will be expected to pay for food,
beverages, service, and special requirements as
contracted with and invoiced by the Club.
Reservations will not be accepted from any
organization that has not filed an annual affidavit with
the Bath and Tennis Club Manager attesting to the
not-for-profit status of the organization and attesting
that a majority of the organization's members are Oak
Brook residents.
(7) The Bath and Tennis Club Manager is authorized to
invoice the Village for any clubhouse rental fees that
would otherwise be applicable to meetings or events
conducted pursuant to Subsection (i)(6) of this section,
and the Village Manager is authorized to approve
payment of such fees to the Sports Core Fund from
the General Corporate Fund of the Village consistent
with the approved Village budget.
(8) A nonrefundable deposit of five-hundred dollars
($500.00)will be required to secure a reservation for
wedding receptions. A two-hundred-and-fifty dollar
($250.00) deposit is required for all other events.
Deposits must be made in person at the clubhouse
and will be accepted on a first-come, first-served
basis. Deposits are not refundable.
(9) Payments for services are due forty-eight (48) hours
prior to the date of the event by certified check, unless
other arrangements have been made, in writing, as
part of the special events contract.

0) Bath and Tennis Club Grounds Rental. Any use of
the grounds of the Bath and Tennis Club in the off-season
(after Labor Day and prior to the federally-observed
Memorial Day) may be authorized by the Bath and Tennis
Club manager, subject to individual arrangements.
