ORDINANCE 2005- ZO- SU -EX1 -S -1154
AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE
TO PERMIT ADDITIONAL ACCESSES
(Christ Church of Oak Brook, 501 Oak Brook Road, 3202 and 3222 York Road)
(06 -36- 100 -004, 06 -36- 100 -005, 06 -36- 100 -006, 06 -36- 107 -001, AND 06 -36- 107 -002)
WHEREAS, the owner of the property (Petitioner) at 501 Oak Brook Road, 3022 and 3222 York
Road, Oak Brook, Illinois (Subject Property) has applied to the Village for a special use to permit
construction of new right in /right out access points, and
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission reviewed the request for the special use and recommended its
approval, and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals conducted public hearings on March 7, 2006 and April
4, 2006 regarding the request for special use pursuant to due and appropriate legal notice, and
recommended approval of the special use, and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals and the Plan Commission found that the Petitioner
satisfactorily addressed the factors required for approval of this special use and made the following
specific findings
1 The proposed right in /right out access points are consistent with existing building
designs, scale and traffic patterns
2 The Petitioner has addressed all of the applicable factors required for a special use
3 No comments have been received from the neighboring property owners that the
proposed special use will negatively impact the adjacent properties
WHEREAS, the Village president and Board of Trustees have reviewed the recommendations of
the Plan Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals and deem the special use as set forth below to be in
the best interest of the Village,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DUPAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, as follows
Section 1 That the recitals above are hereby incorporated into and made a part of this
ordinance
Section 2 That the Subject Property aforesaid is hereby granted a special use to permit
construction of right in /right out access points, subject to the following conditions
1 Improvement of the appearance of landscaping adjacent to the right in /right out access on
Oak Brook Road that is across Lincoln Road and adjacent to the right in /right out access
adjacent to York Road,
2 Safety concerns that were raised about the right in /right out access on York Road and the
internal traffic flow on the property, which were addressed at this hearing If any further
safety concerns or propblems arise they will be sufficiently addressed by the church and will
communicate with Village staff, and
3 Sufficiently address proper signage for both right in /right out accesses

Section 3 This special use and the scope of this ordinance are limited and restricted to the
property located at 501 Oak Brook Road, 3202 and 3222 York Road, Oak Brook, Illinois, which property
is legally described in Exhibit A, attached hereto and made a part hereof
Section 4 This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval
and publication as required by law
Section 5 All ordinances or parts thereof in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance be and
the same are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict
