ORDINANCE 2006-PW-CR-EXI -S-1 157
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE PUBLIC WORKS
CONSTRUCTION STANDARDS POLICY
WHEREAS, the Village President and the Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook (Village)
adopted Ordinance 1999- PW- CR -EX1 -S -946 on July 13, 1999 after determining that it was necessary
and appropriate to establish uniform policies concerning requirements for and procedures regarding
public works construction standards in the Village, and
WHEREAS, per Section 8 -1 -3 of Title 8 (Public Works) of the Village Code of the Village of Oak
Brook, the Village Board may adopt, from time to time, Public Works Constructions Standards upon the
recommendation of the Village Engineer and Village Manager, and
WHEREAS, the Village Engineer and Village Manager have recommended that this Policy be
amended to include updated standards, and
WHEREAS, the Village President and Board of Trustees concur with and approve of the Village
Engineer's and Village Manager's recommendations
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Oak Brook, Du Page and Cook Counties, Illinois as follows
Section 1 That the provisions of the preamble are hereby adopted as though fully set forth
herein
Section 2 That the Public Works Construction Standards for the Village of Oak Brook,
previously adopted on July 13, 1999, be deleted in their entirety and replaced with the Public Works
Construction Standards attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated herein as approved and adopted in
their entirety
Section 3 That the validity of any action otherwise taken by the Board in accordance with
applicable State law shall not be invalidated, impaired or otherwise affected by noncompliance with any
part of the procedures or policy set forth in this ordinance
Section 4 That the Village Clerk is authorized and directed to publish this ordinance in pamphlet
form in the manner provided by law
Section 5 That all ordinances or resolutions or parts of ordinances and resolutions in conflict
with this ordinance are hereby repealed
Section 6 That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after passage and
approval pursuant to law
