S-1159 - 05/09/2006 - PERSONAL PROPERTY - OrdinancesORDINANCE 2006 -PP -S -1159 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE BY PUBLIC AUCTION OF PERSONAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK WHEREAS, in the opinion of at least a simple majority of the corporate authorities of the Village of Oak Brook, it is no longer necessary or useful to or for the best interests of the Village of Oak Brook to retain ownership of the personal property hereinafter described, and WHEREAS, it has been determined by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook to sell said personal property at the DuPage Mayors and Managers Conference public auction to be held on Saturday, June 10. 2006. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows: Section 1 - That the provisions of the preamble hereinabove set forth are hereby adopted as though fully set forth herein Section 2 That pursuant to 65 ILCS 5/11 -76 -4, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook find that the personal property, described in Section 5 now owned by the Village of Oak Brook, is no longer necessary or useful to the Village of Oak Brook and the best interests of the Village of Oak Brook will be served by its sale.
