S-1043 - 07/08/2003 - SPECIAL USE - OrdinancesI ORDINANCE 2003- ZO- SU -EX1 -S -1043 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE S -791 RELATIVE TO A SPECIAL USE OAK BROOK PARK DISTRICT (1450 Forest Gate Road) WHEREAS, on December 19, 1994, the Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook passed Ordinance S -791, which granted a special use permitting construction of a Family Recreation /Administration Center in Central Park; and WHEREAS, the Oak Brook Park District has filed an application requesting an amendment to the foregoing special use to allow for the construction of a 10,000 square foot addition to the Family Recreation /Administration Center in Central Park; and WHEREAS, at its meeting of April 21, 2003, the Plan Commission unanimously recommended to the Village Board that the requested amendment to the special use be granted; and WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals, at its meeting of April 29, 2003, unanimously recommended to the Village Board that the requested amendment to the special use be granted. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DUPAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: That the provisions of the preamble hereinabove set forth are hereby adopted as though fully set forth herein. Section 2: That the special use granted pursuant to Ordinance S -791 is hereby further amended by allowing construction of a 10,000 square foot addition to the Family Recreation /Administration Center in Central Park, provided: 1) That said addition is constructed in substantial conformity with the plans drawn by Barclay & Associates consisting of sheets A -5 through A -8, dated November 25, 2002; 2) That the applicant shall obtain final engineering approval from the Village Engineer; and 3) That the curbing around the access drive is waived. Section 3: That this ordinance is limited to property located at 1450 Forest Gate Road, Oak Brook, Illinois, which property is legally described in Exhibit "A ", attached hereto and made a part hereof. Section 4: That all other provisions of Ordinance S -791 are and shall remain in full force and effect. Section 5: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after passage and approval pursuant to law. PASSED THIS 8th day of July , 2003.
