AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 4 (FEES AND BONDS) OF
TITLE 10 (BUILDING REGULATIONS) OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF THE
VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK RELATIVE TO A NEW FEE AND BOND SCHEDULE
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook, Illinois have
heretofore, by ordinance, established a fee and bond schedule within the Building Regulation Title of the
Village Code, and
WHEREAS, the Village Board directed that the fee and bond schedule be updated each year to
ensure that a goal of cost recovery be met, and
WHEREAS, the Village President and Board of Trustees have reviewed the proposed fee and
bond schedule and have approved it, and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees deem the new fee and bond schedule to be in
the best interest and in pursuance of the general welfare of the Village,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows
Section 1 Chapter 4 (Fees and Bonds) of Title 10 (Building Regulations) of the Village Code
of the Village of Oak Brook is hereby deleted in its entirety and replaced with the following
10 -4 -1: FEE AND BOND SCHEDULE: Before a permit required by this Title is issued, the
Director of Community Development shall collect a fee and bond calculated according to the
following schedule
A Volume Computation Volume shall be computed on the exterior dimensions of the
building and shall include all space above the lowest level of the foundation wall and to the highest
point of the main roof and to include all projections
B Unit of Volume Cost Figure a fraction larger than one -half (1/2) as a full unit
