SAFETY PATHWAY COMMITTEE MINUTES OF MEETING, NOVEMBER 16, 1999 Committee Members Steve McShane* Heidi Huizenga John Hartmann* Tom Richardson* Also in Attendance: Rosetta Lombardi Tom Doyle - Sue Walters Ron Cullum* Howard Trier (Park District) * Present 1. Minutes of October 14, 1999, meeting were approved as modified. A change was noted in 3.G —'Secured Agreement Not Certain" and in 5.F. Dale indicated there could be opposition from some neighbors. 0 2. Project Updates A. 22nd Street — Howard Trier reported that there has been final agreement on the donation of property. The Park District is proceeding to get all signatures necessary to meet the final "close" date. B. York Road - South of 31 st Street — Site preparation has begun on the west side of York Road beginning at Robin Hood Ranch and going south. WJUUJ• UU4 C. Midwest Road — The Committee will make no further recommendation on this issue, but would like to review the plans from a safety perspective before construction begins. Ron Cullum will contact Dale Durfey in this matter. The Committee also request that any phase one plans that might affect the pathway system be made available to the Committee. D. Harger and York Road — No update. E. Spring Road — No update. F. 31 " Street --- No update. G. Regional Trail — No update. The Committee reviewed and updated the listing of high priority capital improvements. Tom Richardson to update. B. Letter be sent to the Village to update 35`h Street and St. Pascal from "C" to "A" priority. C. Committee had an extended discussion regarding how best to communicate with the Village regarding projects and their priorities- D. Committee discussed moving the regularly scheduled meeting to Wednesday rather than Thursday nights. Doyle will contact Board members Lombardi and Walters to see whether their schedules can accommodate this and also check with the Village regarding the availability of a meeting room. • There being no additional business, the meeting was adjourned at 9:15 p.m. •
