Eaeh cantxactor perfarming any work pursuant to a cantract with the Village af Qak Brook and each permittee
working under a permit as required pursuant to the provisioz�s af Title 1 of Ghapter 8 c�f the Cade Qf Ordinances of
the Village 9f Oak Brook (hereinafter referred ta a$ "Insured") ahall be required to carry such inst�rance as
specified herein. Such eontractor and permittee shall procure and mazn#.air� for zhe duration of the contract or
permit insuranc� against claims far injuries to persans or damages ta property which may mrise:from or in

Village, either the ineurer shall reduce or eliminate such deductible or aelf-inaured retention as respects the

payment of losaes and related investigations, claim administration and defense expenses to the extent af such
deductible or self insured retention.

o�eu�ied or used by the Insured. The coverage shall contain no sper.iat limitatioz� czn the scx�pe 4f

(��The Ineured's insurance caverage ehall be primary insurance as re�p�cts the Village, i� officers, '.
aff"ici�ls, �mplayees, volunteers and agenta. Any insurance or self-i�ura�ce maintained by the '
Villa�e. ita af£icers, officiale, employses, valunteers ar agents shall b� in excesa of the Insured's
in�uranee and shall not contribute with it.
{3}Any failure to comply with reporting�provisions of the polieies shail not affect covera�e provided to the
Village,ita ofl"icers,offciale,employeea,volunteers or agents.
(4}The Insured'� insuranee ahall apply separately to each covered pariy against'wham clttim is made or
$uit is braught except with reapect to the limits of the insurer's liability.
E. Worker'a Compensation and Employer's Liability Coverage
The policy shall waive all rights of aubrogation against the Village, its officers, officiale,employeea,

volunteers and agents for lossee arising from work performed by the insured for the Village.
Each insurance policy shall be endorsed to etate that coverage shall not be suapended,voided,canceled by either
party, reduced in coverage or in limits except after thirty (30} days prior written notice by certified mail has
been given to the Village. Each insurance policy shall name the Village, its officers, offiGiala and employees,
valunteera and agents as additional Insureds. Insurance is to be placed with insurers with a Bsst's rating of no
Iese than A�VII.
Each Ineured ahall fumish th� Vzllage arith certificates of insur�nce and with original endoraements effeeting
cavexage required by this proviaio�. The certificate and endaraeme�ts for sach inaurance policy are�x,i be�igned
by a p�rson authorized by that insurer to bund coverage on its b�hal£ The certificatea and endorsemente are ta
be on forms approved l�y the Village and shaIl be subject to approval by the Village Attorney before wark
commences. The Village reserves the right to require complete,certified copies of all required insurance policies,
a�t any tune.
Each insured shall include all subcontractors aa insureds under its policies or ahall furnish separate certificates
and endorsements for each subcontraetor. All coverages for subeontractors shall be subject to all of the
requiremente stated herein.
