Background /History: The attached ordinance includes various items that have reached the end of their useful life. The hot tub located at the Sports Core has become too expensive to maintain. The two desks located in the Police Department and the file cabinet located in the Library were replaced by newer models. Department Directors were notified that these items where available but none had use for them in their departments. Items will be disposed of by first advertising for bids. If no bids are received, they will be offered to local schools and not - for - profit agencies. Any remaining items will be disposed of. Recommendation: Staff recommends that the Village Board adopt the attached ordinance authorizing the sale of surplus items.
