RECOMMENDED MOTION: I move for passage of Ordinance G- 926:AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING SECTION 1 -4B -3A OF TITLE 1 (ADMINISTRATION) OF THE VILLAGE
CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK AND PROVIDING FOR REVISED MEETING
DATES FOR THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
Background/History:
Per direction from the Village Board at their last meeting, attached please find an ordinance
which amends Section 1 -4B -3A (Meetings) to read as follows:
A. Regular Meetings: The second and fourth Tuesday of each and every month
be and are hereby declared and established as the official meeting dates for the
board, with the exceptions as follows: there will be no regular meetings
scheduled on the fourth Tuesday of the months of June, August and December.
All regular meetings of the board shall be called to order at seven o'clock (7:00)
P.M., or at such time thereafter as a quorum shall be present. The annual notice of
meetings pursuant to section 120/1 of the Illinois municipal code will list the
regular meetings of the board and any commissions and committees of the village
and will be published in January annually, and include the dates, times and
locations of those regular meetings.
In addition to the elimination of the second meetings in June, August and December, the
Committee -of -the -Whole meeting language is deleted from the Code, as well as changing the
start time officially to 7:00 p.m. If a Committee -of -the -Whole Meeting is deemed to be
necessary, a Special Meeting may be scheduled.
Recommendation:
I recommend that this Ordinance be passed.

ORDINANCE 2010 -BOT- COW -G -926
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 -1B -3A
OF TITLE 1 (ADMINISTRATION) OF THE VILLAGE
CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK AND PROVIDING
FOR REVISED MEETING DATES FOR THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook have been holding meetings on
the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month in addition to Committee -of- the -Whole meetings the night
before the second regularly scheduled monthly meeting with the passage of Ordinance G -646 on October
26, 1999; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees no longer deem it in the best interest of the
Village to hold a Committee -of- the -Whole meeting each month and deem it also necessary to amend the
regular meeting schedule.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows:
Section 1: Section 1 -4B -3A (MEETINGS) shall be deleted in its entirety and amended to
read as follows:
A. Regular Meetings: The second and fourth Tuesday of each and every month be and are
hereby declared and established as the official meeting dates for the board, with the exceptions
as follows: there will be no regular meetings scheduled on the fourth Tuesday of the months of
June, August and December. All regular meetings of the board shall be called to order at seven

Section 2: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval
and publication as required by law.
Section 3: All ordinances or parts thereof in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance be and
the same are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
