The Village Attorney has drafted an ordinance which grants the
rezoning of the property at 3800 York Road from R -3, Residence
District, to C /R, Conservation/Recreation District.
Motion by Trustee Savino, seconded by Trustee Caleel, to approve
Ordinance #2000- ZO -R -S -969, "An Ordinance Rezoning Property to
the Conservation/Recreation District (3800 York Road, Oak Brook, IL
60523)," as presented and waive the full reading thereof. ROLL CALL
VOTE:
Ayes: 4 - President Bushy, Trustees Caleel, Craig and Savino.
Nays: 0 - None.

ORDINANCE 2000- ZO -R -S- 969
AN ORDINANCE REZONING PROPERTY TO
THE CONSERVATION /RECREATION DISTRICT
(3800 York Road, Oak Brook, IL 60523)
WHEREAS, an application has been filed by the Forest Preserve District of DuPage Cou i ty
requesting the rezoning of property located at 3800 York Road from R -3 to C /R; and
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission on June 19, 2000 and the Zoning Board of Appeals on July 6
2000, recommended approval of the requested rezoning; and 11
WHEREAS, the Village President and Board of Trustees have reviewed the recommendations of
the Plan Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals and deem the rezoning of the property to C /R1,
Conservation /Recreation District to be consistent with the Comprehensive Plan and in the best interests of
the Village; and
WHEREAS, all required hearings were held pursuant to due and appropriate legal notice;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows:
Section 1: That the provisions of the preamble hereinabove set forth are hereby adopted as
though fully set forth herein.
Section 2: That the property located at 3800 York Road be and is hereby rezoned from R -3,
Single - Family Detached Residence District, to C /R, Conservation /Recreation District Said property is
legally described as follows: I
Lot 1 in Graue's Assessment Plat No. 2, a Subdivision in part of the West half of the
Southeast Quarter of Section 36, Township 39 North, Range 11, East of the Third
Principal Meridian, according to the Plat thereof recorded March 19, 1947 as Document
517568, in DuPage County, Illinois. Permanent Parcel No. 06 -36- 402 -004.
Section 3: That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to amend the Official Zoning
Map of the Village consistent with the provisions of this Ordinance. j
Section 4: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after passage and approval
pursuant to law.
