Martens, Village Attorney /�� RECOMMENDATION: That the Village Board pass the attached Ordinance which amends Schedule VII ( "Parking Prohibited At All Times On Certain Streets ") of Section 7 -2 -1 ( "Traffic Schedules ") of Title 7 ( "Motor Vehicles And Traffic ") of the Village Code of the Village of Oak Brook. Pursuant to your direction, I have drafted the attached Ordinance which prohibits parking on Canterberry Lane where "no parking" signs are posted. I understand that you will consider this Ordinance at your regular meeting on August 12, 2003. Motion carried 2) RESOLUTION 2003 AP -R -855, "A RESOLUTION OF RES 03 -AP -R -855 APPRECIATION — WILLIAM WALSH" RES OF APPRCTN - WILLIAM WALSH 3) Motion by Trustee Craig, seconded by'Trustee Yusuf, to pass Resolution 2003 AP -R -855, "A Resolution of Appreciation for William D. Walsh" who has faithfully and with dedication and distinction served his country and the State of Illinois. ROLL CALL VOTE: Ayes: 6 - Trustees Aktipis, Caleel, Craig, Konn, Miologos and Yusuf. Nays: 0 - None. Absent: 0 - None. Motion carved President Quinlan recognized Police Sgt. Jason Cates and Officer John Jacobs for their participation in the Walsh memorial services. This Ordinance addresses these concerns and prohibits parking on one side of the street. Please limit any guest parking to one side of the street only; anyone hosting a large gathering on Canterberry Lane please contact the Village of Oak Brook Police Department to receive temporary signage. This temporary signage will assist you in limiting parking to one side of the street only and decreasing the amount of inconvenience to the other residents. Additionally, by restricting parking to one side of the street, the Village will be able to provide access for emergency vehicles. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
