RECOMMENDATION: That the Village Board adopt the attached ordinance authorizing
the sale of surplus computer equipment via the internet.
The attached ordinance declares computer equipment as surplus and authorizes its sale to
the highest bidder by auction over the internet.
The computer equipment is as follows:
Two Intel Pro/Wireless 2011 B LAN Access Point #WEAP2011 BAK
Eight Intel Pro/Wireless 2011 B LAN USB Device (external NIC)
#WUD2011 BWW 802.11 b/11 Mbps /2.4GHz
This equipment was purchased as a part of the Library project, but is not being
implemented for security reasons.

President Quinlan announced that Village Clerk Gonnella has qualified for first
level of membership in the International Institute of Municipal Clerks Master
Municipal Clerk Academy. The purpose of the IIMC Master Municipal Clerk
Academy is to provide professional and educational opportunities for municipal
clerks to extend beyond their present levels of development and to enhance
their skills to meet the challenges of the office of municipal clerk. He
congratulated her for efforts to enhance the clerk's office and its duties.
4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: MINUTES
Motion by Trustee Caleel, seconded by Trustee Aktipis, to approve the Minutes
of the Special Board of Trustees Meeting of July 22, 2003 at 7.00 p.m. as
presented and waive the full reading thereof. VOICE VOTE: Motion carried.
Motion by Trustee Aktipis, seconded by Trustee Yusuf, to approve the Minutes
of the Regular Board of Trustees Meeting of July 22, 2003 at 7:30 p.m. as
presented and waive the full reading thereof. VOICE VOTE: Motion carved.

Motion by Trustee Caleel, seconded by Trustee Yusuf, to approve the Consent

AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF CERTAIN
PERSONAL PROPERTY OWNED BY
THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK
WHEREAS, in the opinion of a majority of the corporate authorities of the Village of Oak Brook, it
is no longer necessary or useful to or in the best interests of the Village of Oak Brook to retain the
aforedescribed personal property now owned by the Village, and
WHEREAS, the Village of Oak Brook wishes to auction said personal property over the internet or
other auction service,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows
Section 1 Pursuant to 65 ILCS 5/11 -76 -4, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Oak Brook find that the following described personal property

authorized and directed to sell the aforesaid personal property, now owned by the Village of Oak Brook, to
the highest bidder by auction over the internet or other auction service
Section 3 That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, by at
least three fourths of all the corporate authorities, and approval in the manner provided by law
