RECOMMENDED MOTION: I move to pass Ordinance S -1205, An Ordinance Amending
the Zoning District Map Concerning a Parcel of Approximately Forty (40) Acres Located
at 115 Canterberry Lane, Oak Brook, Illinois
Background /History:
Per recommendation of the Plan Commission and the Zoning Board of Appeals, the President
and Board of Trustees have directed the Village Attorney to draft this Ordinance which requests
that the Zoning District Map be amended from R1 to CR for the property owned by the Oak
Brook Park District, located at 115 Canterberry Lane.
Recommendation:
I recommend that this Ordinance be considered for passage.

ORDINANCE 2007- ZO- MA -R -S -1205
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING DISTRICT MAP
CONCERNING A PARCEL OF APPROXIMATELY FORTY (40) ACRES
LOCATED AT 115 CANTERBERRY LANE, OAK BROOK, ILLINOIS
(P.I.N. #'s: 06 -36- 202 -017 and 06 -36- 202 -018)
WHEREAS, an application was filed by the Oak Brook Park District, the owner (the "Petitioner ") of
certain property of approximately forty (40) acres in area, located at 115 Canterberry Lane, Oak Brook,
Illinois (the "Subject Property "), requesting that the zoning district map be amended, which is presently
zoned R1 (Single - Family Detached Residence District), to change its zoning classification to CR
(Conservation /Recreation District); and
WHEREAS, a public hearing on such application was conducted by the Zoning Board of Appeals
of the Village of Oak Brook on August 22, 2007, pursuant to due and appropriate legal notice; and
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals have recommended this
amendment, with the Zoning Board of Appeals also making the requisite findings that the standards of
Section 13 -14 -8 of the Village Code have been met; and
WHEREAS, the Village President and Board of Trustees hereby determine that the map
amendment for the Subject Property to the CR Conservation /Recreation District, as described herein,
represents the most appropriate zoning consistent with the highest and best use thereof.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK. DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, as follows:
Section 1: The zoning district map is hereby amended so that the Subject Property, legally
described below, be located within the CR Conservation /Recreation District:
THE SOUTHEAST % OF THE NORTHEAST % OF SECTION 36, TOWNSHIP 39 NORTH,
RANGE 11 EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, IN DUPAGE COUNTY, ILLINOIS,
ALSO KNOWN AS: LOTS 1 AND 2 IN DEAN'S ASSESSMENT PLAT OF THE SOUTHEAST
QUARTER OF THE NORTHEAST QUARTER OF SECTION 36, TOWNSHIP 39 NORTH,
RANGE 11 EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, ACCORDING TO THE PLAT
THEREOF RECORDED NOVEMBER 20, 1989 AS DOCUMENT R89- 145768 AND
RERECORDED FEBRUARY 23, 1990 AS DOCUMENT R90- 023141, IN DUPAGE COUNTY,
ILLINOIS.
PERMANENT PARCEL NUMBERS 06 -36- 202 -017 AND 06 -36- 202 -018
(Commonly known as 115 Canterberry Lane, Oak Brook, Illinois )
Section 2: The Village Clerk is hereby directed to amend the official zoning district map of the
Village of Oak Brook in accordance with the provisions of Section 1 hereinabove.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval
as required by law.
