SUBJECT: Surplus Equipment Ordinance

RECOMMENDATION: That the President and Village Board approve the attached Ordinance 2002 -
PP-S- declaring a 1981 Rolls Royce as surplus property and authorizing the auction of said surplus
property which is no longer necessary or useful to the Village of Oak Brook.
The item to be auctioned is a 1981 Rolls Royce Corniche convertible. This vehicle was donated to the
Oak Brook Police Department with the understanding that all proceeds from its sale would be used
only to purchase police department equipment. A minimum reserve auction price of $35,000 will be
established and a fully- equipped semi - marked police vehicle will be purchased with the proceeds.
Over the past three years, we have budgeted, for this vehicle and each year, due to budgetary
constraints, the purchase of the vehicle was not authorized.

Brook" which declares a 1981 Rolls Royce as surplus property and
authorizes the auction of said surplus property which is no longer
necessary or useful to the Village of Oak Brook. ROLL CALL VOTE:
Ayes: 6 - Trustees Aktipis, Caleel, Craig, Korin, Miologos and Savino.
Nays: 0 - None.
Absent: 0 - None. Motion carried.

Pursuant to Village Board direction, Ordinance 2002-SD-RR-EX-1-G-
708 approves a comprehensive amendment to Title 14, "Subdivision
Regulations" of the Village Code
Motion by Trustee Miologos, seconded by Trustee Aktipis, that the
Village Board approve Ordinance 2002- SD- RR- EX -1 -G -708, "An
Ordinance Amending Title 14, Subdivision Regulations, of the Village
Code of the Village of Oak Brook." ROLL CALL VOTE:
Ayes: 6 - Trustees Aktipis, Caleel, Craig, Korin, Miologos and Savino.
Nays: 0 - None.
Absent: 0 - None. Motion camed.

AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF CERTAIN
PERSONAL PROPERTY OWNED BY
THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK
WHEREAS, in the opinion of a majority of the corporate authorities of the Village of Oak Brook, it
is no longer necessary or useful to or in the best interests of the Village of Oak Brook to retain the
aforedescribed personal property now owned by the Village; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Oak Brook wishes to auction said personal property over the internet or
other auction service,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows-
Section 1 Pursuant to 65 ILCS 5/11 -76 -4, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Oak Brook find that the following described personal property
One 1981 Rolls Royce Convertible; 4 -Door, White; VIN No SCAYD42AIBCX01563, with
approximately 37,375 miles,
now owned by the Village of Oak Brook, is no longer necessary or useful to the Village of Oak Brook and
the best interests of the Village of Oak Brook will be served by its sale.
Section 2 Pursuant to said 65 ILCS 5/11 -76 -4, the Village Manager be and he is hereby
authorized and directed to sell the aforesaid personal property, now owned by the Village of Oak Brook, to
the highest bidder above the reserve price of $35,000 by auction over the internet or other auction service
Section 3 That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, by at
least three fourths of all the corporate authorities, and approval in the manner provided by law
