RE: DuPage County Regional Bikeway Plan —1998 Implementation
Status Report '
We are very pleased to transmit to you the above referenced document. This
plan was originally adopted by the DuPage County Regional Planning
Commission, the DuPage Mayors; and Managers Conference, and the DuPage
County Board in 1995. This report summarizes those activities which took
place in 1998 to implement the plan.
At the present time, there are 552 miles of bikeways reflected on the
countywide map with 240 miles or 43% of the plan constructed to date. New
facilities totaling 15 miles were completed this year by 7 local agencies and the
Forest Preserve District of DuPage County.
A countywide map of all existing and proposed bikeways (trails, paths, routes
and lanes) is in preparation and' will be available shortly. A summary map
