SPECIAL MEETING OF THE PRESIDENT
AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK APPROVED

1. CALL TO ORDER
The Special Meeting of December 5, 2016 of the Village Board of Trustees was called to
order by President Gopal Lalmalani in the Upper Level Conference Room of the Butler
Government Center at 5:06 p.m.
2. ROLL CALL
Village Clerk Charlotte Pruss called the roll with the following persons:
PRESENT: Trustees John Baar, Edward Tiesenga, Mark Moy, President Gopal
Lalmalani
ABSENT: Trustee Don Adler
Trustee Michael Manzo (arrived at approximately 5:13 p.m. during closed
session)
IN ATTENDANCE: Village Manager Rick Ginex, Village Attorney Keri-Lyn Krafthefer
3. ADJOURN TO CLOSED MEETING – FOR THE PURPOSE OF DISCUSSING
LITIGATION PURSUANT TO SECTION 2c(11) OF THE ILLINOIS OPEN
MEETINGS ACT.
Motion by Trustee Yusuf, seconded by Trustee Baar, to adjourn to closed meeting at
5:07 p.m.
ROLL CALL VOTE:
Ayes: 4 – Trustees Baar, Moy, Tiesenga, Yusuf
Nays: 0 – None
Abstain: 0 – None
Absent: 2 – Trustee Adler, Trustee Manzo
Motion carried.
4. RECONVENE – The closed meeting was adjourned and reconvened to open meeting at
6:28 p.m.

A. LEGISLATIVE ENGAGEMENT LETTER
Motion by Trustee Yusuf, seconded by Trustee Manzo, to approve the engagement

letter for John Fogarty’s legislative services.
ROLL CALL VOTE:

B. LEGAL SERVICES ENGAGEMENT LETTER
Village Manager Ginex explained that, on an as-needed basis, this letter would engage
John Fogarty’s legal services at the rate of $300/hour.
Motion by Trustee Yusuf, seconded by Trustee Baar, to approve the engagement
letter for John Fogarty’s legal services.
