AGENDA ITEM
Regular Board of Trustees Meeting
of
February 28, 2017
SUBJECT: Resolution 2017-IDOT-MFT-ENG-ST-R-1618, a Resolution Approving a
Local Agency Agreement with IDOT for Federal Participation Regarding
Pavement/Sidewalk Improvements on York Road from Oak Brook
Road/31st Street to the I-88 Ramp S.N. 022-9905.
FROM: Doug Patchin, Public Works Director
BUDGET SOURCE/BUDGET IMPACT: $460,610 from Motor Fuel Tax Fund
RECOMMENDED MOTION: I move the Village Board approve Resolution 2017-
IDOT-MFT-ENG-ST-R-1618, a Resolution approving a Local Agency Agreement with
IDOT for Federal Participation in the York Road Resurfacing Project (York Road, north
of Oak Brook Road/31st Street to the I-88 Ramp S.N. 022-9905).
Background/History: On January 10, 2017, the Village Board approved the Local
Public Agency Agreement with IDOT. This agreement provides resurfacing of York
Road (the area highlighted on the attached project location map). Additionally, this
agreement stipulates cost sharing between the Federal Highway Administration and the
Village of Oak Brook. The York Road Surface Transportation Program (STP) is
estimated to cost $1,203,170 with a maximum Federal Highway Administration (FHWA)
participation of 65%, not to exceed $742,560. The remaining $460,610 will be paid by
the Village from the Motor Fuel Tax Fund.
The State of Illinois subsequently made language and measurement changes under the
location section on the original agreement after the Board approved this agreement on
January 10th. The State also requested a Village Board Resolution appropriating local
construction match funding; participation and dollar values remain the same as the
original agreement.
