Healthy Living for Your Brain and Body: Tips from the Latest Research Tuesday, July 11 @ 7 pm Join the Alzheimer’s Association to learn about research in the areas of diet and nutrition, exercise, cognitive activity and social engagement, and use hands-on tools to help you incorporate these recommendations into a plan for healthy aging. Chicago Turns 180: From Frontier Outpost to World-Class City Saturday, July 15 @ 2 pm The year 2017 is Chicago’s 180th birthday as a city. Notable in all those years is how many times Chicago has had to literally take 180-degree turns and change its direction. Dave Clark takes us on a tour of the many changes the city has gone through and the challenges that it faces now and in the future Kym Frankovelgia – By Request Saturday, July 22 @ 2 pm Kym Frankovelgia will begin with a terrific selection of fan favorites. Books & Bites Book Discussion Thursday, July 27 @ 4 pm - Magyk We will meet once per month to discuss a good book while discovering fun facts about it and the author. Snacks will be provided! C2 practice tests offer a valuable real-world test environment, allowing students to better understand the testing process while accurately measuring performance before taking the real test. Registration required. Monday Evening Chess Club July 5*, 10, 17, 24 and 31 @ 6:30-8 pm This club is open to players grades K-12 who already have an understanding of the game. R.E.A.D. to a Cat Thursday, July 27 @ 7 pm The Hinsdale Humane Society’s READ program bring us teams of trained owners and their Delta-registered cats to work with children to improve reading skills.
