Back to Melody: Yvonne Faddis-Stroud Piano Concert
Sunday, October 8 @ 2 pm
Yvonne Faddis-Stroud will be playing some of her favorite songs in a variety of
styles that will feature her own arrangements. She'll play songs from TV shows,
movies, Broadway musicals, blues, rock, jazz and more. She will test your
memory to see if you can guess the titles of some songs and for a final treat will
play requests.

what it doesn't and your options for additional coverage. He will also discuss

Ray & Joan: The Man Who Made the McDonald ’s Fortune
and the Woman Who Gave It All Away
Sunday, October 15 @ 2 pm
Learn more about power couple Ray and Joan Kroc with a first-person
interpretation by Chicago-area dramatic book reviewer Jenny Riddle. We’ll hear
how Ray made the McDonald’s fortune and how Joan gave it all away, gifting
huge, anonymous sums to various charitable causes.

Fall Evergreen Concert
Sunday, October 22 @ 3 pm
This Concert will feature the Chicago-based Jan Sobieski
String Quartet and include works by Tchaikovsky and the
contemporary American composer Kenji Bunch.
Taking their name from one of the most notable rulers in the
history of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, the Quartet
includes Anna Gillan and Robin Sackschewsky on violin,
Nathan Sackschewsky on viola, and Dung Pham on cello. All of
the members are string teachers in the Chicago suburbs. They
have performed together since 2007, and they especially enjoy
performing for weddings and other special events. For more

The Evergreen Concert is free and no reservations are required.
There will be a drawing for a free CD and refreshments will be
served following the performance.

The Oak Brook Public Library is

housing and hope to homeless
families in DuPage County. Come
