music performed by The Shawn Maxwell Quartet!
Our Spring Evergreen Concert will be on Sunday,

We need some volunteers to work as cashiers
and to straighten up the book tables during
our Used Book Sale April 20-22. This is a great
(and easy) way to support the Library and to
meet your neighbors. If you are able to work a
2-hour shift at any time during the Sale, please
add your name to the sign-up sheets located
at the Library Circulation Desk. We look
forward to seeing you!

The Friends of the Oak Brook Public
Library raises funds to support the
Library through memberships and
book sales. The Friends is a 501(c)(3)
charitable organization; membership
dues and other donations are tax
deductible to the full extent of the
law. Become a “Friend” of the Oak

Friends 2017-2018 Membership Drive Begins Now
Please join the Friends of the Oak
Brook Public Library for the 2017-2018
membership year (June 1 – May 31). Your
membership dues support programs and
services that include the following:
• Underwriting of Many Library Programs
• Evergreen Concerts
• Summer and Winter Reading Program Prizes
• Used Book Sale
• Reusable Book Bags (for sale at the Library)
• Footnotes, Our Semiannual Newsletter
The Friends also provides funds for the
purchase of materials for the Library
collections and items not covered by
the Library’s budget. This past year, the
Friends contributed a portion of the funds
needed for installation of new LED lighting
in the Library. As our state’s financial
situation means further budget cuts for
the Library, your Friends membership is
especially needed. All Friends members
are recognized in the spring edition of our
newsletter. Please send in your 2017-2018
membership dues with the membership
form that appears below.
