View From Above
Oil paintings by regional artist,
Nancy Wickum, will be featured at
the Library in July.
Nancy was raised in Midwestern
farm country near the banks of the
Mississippi River and spent her
childhood exploring the creeks, hills,
fields and forests surrounding her
family farm. The inspiration for these
large scale abstract paintings is an
aerial perspective of the land and
forces that shaped it, both human and natural. The work cap-
tures the reflective quality of light moving over water in contrast
to the static nature of land forms.
The View From Above can be seen during regular Library hours.
