Lobby Stop: Medication Education Saturday, October 1 @ 12-2 pm Hosted by the Illinois Council of Health-System Pharmacists (ICHP) chapter of Midwestern University in Downers Grove, this is an opportunity for community members to bring their medication bottles and lists to be reviewed by a student pharmacist. Education regarding medication safety will also be available. Lights Out, Everybody: Mystery & Horror During the Golden Age of Radio Sunday, October 2 @ 2 pm Using sound clips from some the radio’s best known mystery and horror programs (including “Escape,” “Inner Sanctum,” and “Lights Out”), radio personality Steve Darnall illustrates how radio could truly be a “theater of the mind”, and use music, voices and sounds to create indelible – and often frightening – “pictures.” Sponsored by the Friends of the Oak Brook Public Library. Howl At the Moon Big Run Wolf Ranch: North American Wild Life Presentation Saturday, October 8 @ 1 pm This interactive wild life presentation will include a wolf, a coyote, a skunk, a porcupine, and a groundhog from Big Run Wolf Ranch. Participants will learn about North American wildlife including diets, habitats, and everything in between. At the close of the program, there will be an opportunity to pet smaller animals!
