Lobby Stop: Medication Education
Saturday, October 1 @ 12-2 pm
Hosted by the Illinois Council of Health-System Pharmacists (ICHP) chapter of
Midwestern University in Downers Grove, this is an opportunity for community
members to bring their medication bottles and lists to be reviewed by a student
pharmacist. Education regarding medication safety will also be available.

Mystery & Horror During the Golden Age of Radio
Sunday, October 2 @ 2 pm
Using sound clips from some the radio’s best known mystery and horror programs
(including “Escape,” “Inner Sanctum,” and “Lights Out”), radio personality Steve
Darnall illustrates how radio could truly be a “theater of the mind”, and use music,
voices and sounds to create indelible – and often frightening – “pictures.”

Nationally hailed as “an inspiration,” throughout her life Jeanette Andrews
has developed an entirely new and thought-provoking take on the art of the
impossible. In this performance Jeanette will present a distinctive blend of magic
and illusions, inspired by ideas about the importance of perception.

David Wylly of Medicare Solutions Network will detail what Medicare covers,
what it doesn't, and your options for additional coverage. He will also discuss
supplements, Part D prescription, and other cost-saving strategies for the years

Holiday Silent Auction
It’s almost time for the Holiday Silent Auction. The books
will be displayed in the Library’s lobby beginning October
23. The auction ends on December 3 at noon.
Get a jump on your holiday shopping. Winning bidders will be notified
once the auction is concluded. All monies received will be used to
fund Library programs.

Your two year old will surely enjoy this interactive story time
that includes marvelous books, flannel boards, music, and a
simple craft. Children must be age 2 by September 1, 2016.
Parents accompany child in this program.
Storytime Art - Grades K-2
Tuesdays, Oct. 4, 11 & 18 @ 4:30 pm
Are you nuts about books and art? Then join us for this
creative story time. We will read a story and then do an art
project inspired by the book.
Howl At the Moon
Big Run Wolf Ranch: North
American Wild Life Presentation
Saturday, October 8 @ 1 pm
This interactive wild life presentation will include
a wolf, a coyote, a skunk, a porcupine, and a
groundhog from Big Run Wolf Ranch.
Participants will learn about North American wildlife including
diets, habitats, and everything in between. At the close of the
program, there will be an opportunity to pet smaller animals!

Teen Advisory Group (TAG)
Monday October 17 @ 6 pm
TAG provides teens with the opportunity to have a voice in their
library. We will discuss and plan future programs and work on
ways to improve the library community. This leadership role also
counts towards community service hours. Grades 7 & up.
