William Pack will tell the story of the Chicago fire and discuss what led to the fire

Classical Concert: Hariman & Hagen
Sunday, November 13 @ 2 pm
Join us for a one hour performance by resident Dr. Robert Hariman on violin,
accompanied by pianist Nancy Hagen. Refreshments provided after the
concert, courtesy of the performers.
Social Security, Medicare and Me
Thursday, November 17 @ 7 pm
Dee Thom, a Healthcare.gov consultant, will be discussing Social Security changes, when to apply
for Medicare and other retirement plans and issues. She will also be explaining Medicare parts A,
B, C, and D, as well as how to navigate the SSA.gov and Medicare.gov websites. Please come
with your questions!

A one-on-one 30 minute computer session is being offered to
answer basic computer-related questions, from searching the web
to downloading books. Registration is required.
Holiday Silent Auction
The Holiday Silent Auction has begun. The books are
displayed in the Library’s lobby. The auction ends on
December 3 at noon.
Get a jump on your holiday shopping. Winning bidders will be notified
once the auction is concluded. All monies received will be used to
fund Library programs.

once per month to discuss a good book while
discovering fun facts about it as well as the author.

Looking for volunteer hours for applications? Sign up to assist with
programs and take part in events.
Please provide 24 hours notice if you can no longer volunteer. Dress

Your two year old will surely enjoy this interactive story time
that includes marvelous books, flannel boards, music, and a
simple craft. Children must be age 2 by November 1, 2016.
Parents accompany child in this program.
Storytime Art - Grades K-2
Tuesdays, Nov. 8, 15 & 29 @ 4:30 pm
Are you nuts about books and art? Then join us for this
creative story time. We will read a story and then do an art
project inspired by the book.
Creative Cartooning Workshop for Kids
Saturday, November 12 @ 1 - 2 pm
Professional cartoonist, Mark Anderson’s Creative Cartooning
class taps kids’ attraction to humor and penchant for doodling.
They’ll have fun while learning a new skill.
In this interactive, one hour hands-on class, kids will:
Draw expressive cartoon faces.
Sketch bodies in motion.
Write both visual and verbal jokes.
Use symbols to express ideas.
Space is limited. Registration is
required. Ages 8-12.
Teen Advisory Group (TAG)
Monday November 7 @ 6 pm
TAG provides teens with the opportunity to have a voice in their
library. We will discuss and plan future programs and work on
ways to improve the library community. This leadership role also
counts towards community service hours. Grades 6 & up.

YA Book Discussion
