Minutes from the meeting of April 10, 1997
Ethnic Fest Committee

Meeting was called to order at 7:15 p.m.

It was agreed that the hours of the 1997 Ethnic Fest will be noon to 6 p.m. Sunday, September
21. The first order of business is to get posters done, everyone agreed to keep the same logo a nd
color.
It was agreed to have a Saturday evening event on September 22, with a casual theme such as
Oktoberfest. Joan suggested sending an invitation, geared to adults, with a tear -off on the bottom
to send with a check. Bonnie said $10 per person, with a cash bar, should cover dinner, coffee
and dessert. Bonnie said she would go to the Civic Association meeting to promote the event.
The Saturday night party hours will be 6 to 11 p.m. The committee will look into having the
mules and wagon valet park that evening. It was agreed not to have vendors Saturday; the Bath
& Tennis will provide the food.
Joan said we could do an inexpensive invitation and the Civic Association would affix labels for
$150 (which may be waived). Also, new stationery will be printed with name changes.
Bonnie will contact Special -T regarding shirts and other logo items
The next meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday, May 8 at the OBBT.
