CALL TO ORDER
The Regular Meeting of the Autumn Festival Committee was called to order by Co-
Chairman Linda Gonnella at 7:10 p.m. in the Oak Brook Sports Core Administration
Building, 700 Oak Brook Road, Oak Brook, IL.
2. ROLL CALL
PRESENT: Co- Chairman Deborah Effrein and Linda Gonnella, Committee Members
Joyce Antoniolli, Nelly Naguib, Anthony Chiarito and Iolanda Castellan.
ABSENT: Vieva Villegas.
IN ATTENDANCE: Mary Meranda, Sports Core Secretary.
3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
a. Minutes of the Regular Meeting of March 12, 2008
Motion by Member Chiarito, seconded by Member Antoniolli, to approve the minutes of
the March 12, 2008 Autumn Festival Committee meeting as written. VOICE VOTE:
Motion carried.
4. UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Co- Chairman Gonnella notified the members that everyone who served on the 2007
Autumn Festival Committee had been reappointed by Village President John Craig and
approved by the Village Board of Trustees.
5. NEW BUSINESS:
a. Discussion of 2008 Autumn Festival Activities
The Committee discussed proposed activities for the event. Secretary Meranda suggested
that one ticket per child be offered for the cupcake decorating activity. A stipend will be
offered to Mrs. Sebesta for offering her services for this activity which will be held in the
Pre - Function Room of the Clubhouse.
Secretary Meranda will inform the Committee if there is a cost for the Tennis Pro White
to coordinate activities on the tennis courts. Co- Chairman Effrein agreed to follow up
with further information of balloon artists and the cost for Butterfly Gardens staffing for

their activity.
The Committee then discussed the use of Moon Jumps three activities at a cost of $379,
$349 and $269 plus $6.00 fuel charges for the event. Secretary Meranda will contact
Mary Macaroni to find what it would cost for her to perform songs and balloon art. Other
activities discussed were story acting, a sand artist, face painting and pony rides. Member
Castellan will investigate the cost of sand art as an activity. She further suggested some
type of game in which the children would win a gold fish.
Co- Chairman Gonnella will contact Police Chief Sheahan and Fire Chief Bodony
requesting the K -9 Officer, DARE Officer and Fire Department personnel be available
that day for the resident to view. She will also contact Golf Club Manager Van Dyke if a
golf activity could be offered for the children.
The Committee discussed the food items for sale including bratwurst, hamburgers, hot
dogs, chicken fingers and french fries. It was recommended that bottled water and soft
drinks be sold separately from the Pool Cafe Grill.
The Committee discussed their next meeting date for Wednesday, May 14th at 7:00 p.m.

Motion by Co- Chairman Effrein, seconded by Member Chiarito, to adjourn the meeting at
8:45 p.m.
