FESTIVAL COMMITTEE OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK.
APPROVED AS WRITTEN ON MAY 21, 2007.
1. CALL TO ORDER:
The Regular Meeting of the Autumn Festival Committee was called to order by Co-
Chairman Linda Gonnella at 7:13 p.m. in the Oak Brook Sports Core Administration
Building, 700 Oak Brook Road, Oak Brook, IL.
2. ROLL CALL:
PRESENT: Co- Chairman Linda Gonnella, Members Joyce Antoniolli, Connie Craig,
Deborah Effrein and Nelly Naguib.
ABSENT: Co- Chairman Nuha Dabbouseh.
IN ATTENDANCE: Mary Meranda, Secretary.
3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
a. March 30, 2007 Autumn Festival Committee Meeting Minutes
Motion by Connie Craig, seconded by Joyce Antoniolli, to approve the Minutes of the
March 30, 2007 Autumn Festival Committee meeting as presented. VOICE VOTE:
Motion carried.
4. UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
a. Discuss Sponsorships
The Committee discussed the sponsorships that had already been received and what
activities would be possible as the Village has indicated that there will be no funds
available for the event. All funding must be raised by the Committee members for the
2007 Autumn Festival.
Nelly Naguib will speak with the LR Group if they wish to sponsor an activity again this
year. Connie Craig will contact Elaine Zannis to ask if she wishes to be a sponsor again
this year.

b. Discuss Activities
Mary Meranda will e -mail the contract to Deborah Effrein for the Butterfly Garden's
participation. Rudi Kazoodi will have three clowns available for face painting, games,
balloons, stickers, tattoos and three types of children's games. Joyce Antoniolli will

contact a naturalist to determine if any type of nature presentation is available for the
children. Mary Meranda will follow -up with the DuPage Children's Museum for any type
of new activities they could present to the public. A candy jar will be used for children to
guess the quantity of candy in the jar. The winner will receive the candy and the parents a
dinner for two from a local hotel. Mary Meranda will contact the Moon Jump firm for
pricing of all of their activities.
c. Discuss Food Vendors
The Committee recommended that hot dogs, Italian beef, sausage, pretzels, nachos, etc. be
served for the day. Previous food vendors will be contacted for their availability. Joyce
Antoniolli will contact Christine from Scoops if they will be available.
Nelly Naguib will speak with Sal to determine if he wishes to return for the wine tasting
portion of the event. The wine tasting will be located in the Clubhouse.
d. Discuss Equipment Requirements
The Committee discussed the use of car parkers again at an approximate cost of $300.00
from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The Committee recommended reconfiguring the event
around the Clubhouse rather than in the parking lot. This allows more parking near the
site of the Autumn Festival and easier access to all of the activities.
5. NEW BUSINESS:
The Committee discussed the date of the next meeting as May 21St at 7:00 p.m.
6. ADJOURNMENT:
Motion by Connie Craig, seconded by Deborah Effrein, to adjourn the meeting at 8:22
p.m.
