FESTIVAL COMMITTEE OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK.
APPROVED AS AMENDED ON JUNE 19, 2007
1. CALL TO ORDER:
The Regular Meeting of the Autumn Festival Committee was called to order by Co-
Chairman Linda Gonnella at 7:12 p.m. in the Oak Brook Sports Core Administration
Building, 700 Oak Brook Road, Oak Brook, IL .
2. ROLL CALL:
PRESENT: Co- Chairman Nuha Dabbouseh and Linda Gonnella, Committee Members
Joyce Antoniolli, Connie Craig, Deborah Effrein and Nelly Naguib.
ABSENT: None.
IN ATTENDANCE: Mary Meranda, Secretary.
3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
a. Minutes of the Regular Meeting of April 23, 2007
Motion by Member Antoniolli, seconded by Member Craig, to approve the minutes of the
April 23, 2007 Autumn Festival Committee meeting as presented. VOICE VOTE:
Motion carried.
4. UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
a. Discussion of Sponsorships
Member Craig indicated that she had spoken with the branch manager at Citibank in
Oak Brook and he assured her that they would be a sponsor for this year's event. A
table will be provided for them to display materials regarding their bank services. She
would further speak with Elaine Zannis if she wished to sponsor an event again this
year.
Co- Chairman Gonnella will contact Nikki Ricci of LR Group to inquire if she wishes to
sponsor an event again this year.
b. Discussion of Activities
Co- Chairman Dabbouseh has a chemist that would provide scientific magic tricks for
the children. His cost is approximately $200 and it is hoped that he is available for the
Autumn Festival.

4. b.
The Committee discussed the popularity of the Prince and Princess pony rides and
Mary Meranda will contact them for their availability. Their cost is approximately
$1,100.00
c. Discussion of Food Vendors
Member Antoniolli informed the Committee that she may have a vendor who would
provide cupcakes for the event and she will give an update at the next meeting if this is
feasible. Mary Meranda indicated she will follow up with a vendor who wanted to
serve Taiwanese food. She will also contact Scoops for a written contract to provide
food for the Autumn Festival and contact Sal's Beverages to determine if they wish to
provide the wine tasting.
d. Discussion of Equipment Requirements
Mary Meranda will speak with Nelson Patras on the number of chairs and tables
available and if cushioned chairs are available that day. Also, if polo chairs could be
used outside if necessary.
5. NEW BUSINESS:
The Committee determined the next meeting to be Tuesday, June 19th at 7:00 p.m.
6. ADJOURNMENT:
Motion by Co- Chairman Dabbouseh, seconded by Member Craig, to adjourn the meeting
at 8:04 p.m.
