asking for their participation."

an ad.
John Lindquist gave the Budget Committee report: He, Tom Mazukelli and Gerald
McInerney reviewed and agreed on the budget. They recommended the budget
proposal, as presented with an indication of a contribution from Butler and Brook
Forest PTAs, be approved.
In discussing the "general vendor information," Bonnie said it gives someone an
opportunity to participate in the event, with the knowledge that there will be a
lottery to determine who will be able to participate. Roy Cripe suggested adding the
size of the booths and other special requirements, so vendors know what is
available. Nuha recommended adding a deadline of August for receiving
applications. Bonnie said this information would be available by Friday, June 14;
ie she said we also would do a mailing to the OBACI list. Bonnie read the names of
etc. that committee members agreed to contact.

Marge Tresley gave the Publicity Committee report. Another news release will be
sent after the July 4th celebration. The Doings will give us a cover on Sept. 20 with
people in ethnic costumes. Susan has asked The Doings and Oak Brook Press to
mention that entertainers are needed.
The Entertainment Committee report was given by Darrell: Instead of one opening
presentation, there will be three - at 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. with the Brass Choir
of Christ Church. The first presentation will feature officials and a flag ceremony,
and they are hoping for people in ethnic costume. Ralph will contact the West
Suburban Community Band. Three main groups will entertain, as well as
community entertainers. They have a tentative booking with a Greek dance group
and a Bavarian musical group. Several groups can entertain at one time, strolling
the grounds, etc. All schools that serve Oak Brook have been contacted by Susan.
Bonnie said we can have a 30' x 50' main stage, and the tent that is set up on Court
12 for daycare can be used, as well.
Al Savino said he met with Joan Philip regarding the recipe boxes. He checked out
a number of other wooden boxes, but concluded they would go with Joan's box
even though it would cost about $1,000 more than the others. They will order 250
boxes.
Denise reported on Sponsor Books. Bonnie said forms are available for selling ads,
and Nuha suggested adding advertising information to the general vendor
information. Vendors will receive a 10% discount on a full -page ad. Bonnie said we
will have a program in addition to the ad book, and Al suggested we give Jessie
Philip the printing job on the program since she has volunteered so much.
Michele Butler said Tiffany & Co. will donate an engraved crystal trophy to John
Baar for suggesting the slogan.
Bonnie said Michael Butler has offered to contribute a display of memorabilia that
dates back for 1922 for a historical display in the Bath & Tennis Club.
The meeting adjourned at 8:15 p.m. The next meeting will be at 7 p.m. Thursday,
