MINUTES OF THE JULY 15, 2009 MEETING OF THE AUTUMN
FEST COMMITTEE OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK
UNOFFICIAL UNTIL APPROVED AS WRITTEN OR AS AMENDED
ON AUGUST 12, 2009.
CALL TO ORDER:
The Regular meeting of the Autumn Festival Committee was called to order by Co- Chairman
Deborah Effrein at 7:10 p.m. in the Oak Brook Sports Core Administration Building, 700 Oak
Brook Road, Oak Brook, IL.
ROLL CALL:
PRESENT: Co- Chairman Deborah Effrein, Committee Members Nelly Naguib and Joyce
Antoniolli.
ABSENT: Co- Chairman Iolanda Castellan
IN ATTENDANCE: Mary Meranda, Sports Core Secretary
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
Minutes of the Regular Meeting of June 24, 2009
Motion by Member Antoniolli, seconded by Member Naguib, to approve the minutes of the
June 24, 2009 Autumn Festival Committee meeting as written. VOICE VOTE: Motion
carried.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
a. Member Naguib stated she is still in contact with the Marketing Director of Elmhurst
Hospital and Labriola Bakery & Cafe to seek sponsorship. She will follow up and
report back to the Committee.
b. Mary Meranda reported that she has not received any additional donations from
sponsor letters that were sent out.
c. Mary Meranda inquired with the Bath & Tennis Catering Department regarding ideas
and supplies for a craft activity. She reported that the catering department has a
supply of beads in which necklaces and bracelets can be made.
NEW BUSINESS
a. Mary Meranda reported on a phone call from a new resident who may be interested in
being a sponsor for this years' fest. Mary will follow up later this week.
b. Mary Meranda reported that American Family Insurance, Anthony Chiarito Agency
verbally committed to donate $250.00.
c. The Committee discussed the wording for advertising the Festival in the Oak Brook
Civic Association's newsletter.
d. Next meeting scheduled for Wednesday, August 12, 2009.

6. ADJOURNMENT
Motion by Co- Chairman Effrien, seconded by Member Antoniolli, to adjourn the meeting at
8:06 p.m.
