Minutes - 09/18/1996 - Autumn Festival Committee0 Ethnic Fest Meeting Sep tember 18 1996 7:00 p.m. Attendees: Marge Tresley, Joan Philip, Nuha Dabbouseh, Denise Tennison, Susan Santafort, Tom Mazukelli, Bonnie Sartore, Sherry Mazda, Roy Cripe, Kimberley Shanahan. Parkin: Extra parking is available in the showfield. Extra help will be available from the police department for parking. 2 Officers will be in the air field to direct parking. There will be a 2.00 charge for parking. Volunteers and vendors will be directed to the showfield for parking. Program West Suburban is a "Concert Band" and is written this way in the program. There is no fee for the program. Entertainment, Vendors Village staff volunteers will be needed in the dressing rooms beginning at 10:30 a.m. Bryan will make box lunches for all entertainers - 300 box lunches to include P.B. and J. for children. Dennis Lonstine will M.C. for entertainers and have music from every country in case someone doesn't show. Entertainment stage B will be in the dining pavilion. The vendors and entertainers will be given a map specifically designed for them. The Bath and Tennis driveway will be used for workers only. If we run out of room in the tent. - extra merchants will be under the organization tent. All vendors will have a 20X 20 tent with a curtain running down the middle of the tent and we are still accepting applications for more vendors. Volunteers: Volunteers were given a list of liason - Sports Core numbers if a question was raised. Coldwell Banker will be selling the cook boxes. The Daily Herald, Suburban Life Graphic, The Oak Brook Press, The Oak Brook Gazette, and the Doings will be present the 28th. Marge Tresley is still waiting to hear from the Tribune. Ribbon badges will be available to Festival Committee and volunteers. Nuha Dabbouseh, and Sherry Mazda will bring extra cook books from another Ethnic Fest they were involved with, to sell Saturday. Volunteers will meet at 9:30 a.m. in the Sports Core building for Ribbons. Marge Tresley is ordering 1,000 balloons for the Library association. We need volunteers to blow these up. Marge Tresley is having the crystal blob award engraved for John Baar. There will be colored umbrella tables available for information booths (weather permitting) The village staff volunteers will be manning the booths. Joan Philip suggested the programs could be given out at the information booths and the comfort station and should be rationed to have enough the second half of the day. Games: Seven Sarcation will be having games and will need space sectioned off for him - Roy Cripe will let Bonnie know how much space he will need. (weather pending) 0 •
