Minutes - 10/17/1991 - Bath & Tennis Members' CommitteeINN r � • -. - a w ts B+77— M 1 J MINUTES OF THE BATH AND TENNIS COMMITTEE MEETING HELD OCTOBER 17, 1991 The meeting was called to order by Starr Pitsch at 9:10 A.M. All members were present. Rita explained current problems of the Sports Core Billing system. She was meeting with the program's owner that day and hoped to correct the problems. The minutes of the previous meeting were corrected to read "we do not feel the opinion of Mr. McAdams is necessary" in the last paragraph, motion passed. Rene Cronin reported she met with the new members to review our rules. The members' survey was discussed regarding how to present it to members and the Village Board. It was decided to send Village Board members the survey in toto after checking with Steve Burley to ascertain legality of certain responses. The committee discussed the survey results at length. •1) Tennis program received universally high ratings. 2) Pool maintenance was rated average. 3) Swim team and lessons received poor marks. 4) Restaurant received mixed comments with most members requesting casual dinners and Saturday- Sunday lunches. 5) Hut food was greatly improved. 6) 14 persons volunteered to help on committees. 7) Add large informational signs at gatehouse, tennis courts, pool, fork -in- the -road. 8) Add sand pit volleyball, teen social events and family events. A discussion of ordinances was held. PICNICING A lengthy discussion of picnicing was held. Pros and cons were given regarding the use of coolers on sport core grounds, B &T Club specifically. It was agreed, if casual food service was offered on the patio near the pool, picnicing would cease. Paper or plastic cups of beverages should be allowed by the pools. A waitperson could circulate offering drinks on weekends. FEES We agreed social fees should be raised. Our vote was as follows: 3 persons favored $100, 2 persons favored $75 and one $50. There should be no discount for social members fees. B &T guests - limit to 25 per family per day. Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult. ODDS & ENDS Rene announced she received a check for her last mailing. Next meeting will be November 14, 9:00 A.M., Admin. Building. Chair asked Ellie & Faye to discuss the swim program with parents to make recommendations for next years' program.
