Minutes - 10/29/1992 - Bath & Tennis Members' Committeeb— FS4 - Midi 619_q2, MINUTES OF THE OAKBROOK BATH & TENNIS COMMITTEE MEETING HELD Oct. 29, 1992 The meeting of the B & T Committee was called to order at 9 :35 a.m. All the members were present except Faye Elbaz. The first order of business was to review the recommended staff pos- ition of a Members Director. We are all in agreement to rec- ommend that this position be filled as soon as possible. Next we discussed the newsletter and survey. Starr dropped off a copy of our newsletter to Chuck. This was to be copied and sent out to all the members. Chuck, however, expressed doubts and seems to have a real problem with the newsletter. At this time it has not been sent and we don't know when it will be. Since the survey has been delayed, we feel a spring survey will be sufficient. The committee will work with the • Golf committee to produce a new survey. Starr has continued to keep Mack Shumate updated on our meetings. Mack wants a professional cleaning service to come in and do a thorough job on the but and in the kitchen. Thank You. He also suggests that we think about more members events for the coming season. Ex. Opening Party, Beach Party. The committee discussed the use of a calendar that could be included in the members brochure. This would let the members know ahead of time about scheduled events going on at the B & T and Polo fields. The Members Director could be in charge of this task. Pam and Joyce gave a food service update. A possible re- commendation would be to open a window on the north side of the patio to serve food d P an drinks from a casual menu. Some CC .Sol Vz_ Cm 4 Bb -Bq 1 ® M f'V members feel that they don't have to eat in.the clubhouse, they 0 just want availability when weddings or other events are taking place. Starr requested that Joe the chef meet with us to dis- cuss possibilities in food changes and service. The committee voted on a Jr. membership change. All were in favor of raising the age to 10 years old. We were adjourned at 11:00. • U 7
