All \trustees were present except Trustee Howell, 11 READING OF MINUL ES Trustee Cougreve moved - seconded by Trustee Beechen... That the reading of the minutes of the regular meeting of December 12th, 1972, be suspended and that they be accepted ae submitted. Voice vote -- all in favor„ So ordered. 7 III ORDINANCES. Donnellel Corporation Subdivision Plat Each trustee was provided with a copy of a proposed subdivision plat and a copy of an excerpt of the December 18th, 1972 plan commission meeting minutes regarding property located Vest of York Road and north of Clearwater Drive. President Dean read the recommendation of the plan commission which approved same. Trustee Hayes moved - seconded by Trustee Bmsrchen..., That the Reuben H. Donnelley Corporation Subdivision plat be approved by the board and that the village treasurer and clerk be authorized to affix their signatures thereon. Rol? DuPage County Toning Board Notice #2410 Status Revort President Dean read a "Memorandum of Record" prepared by Manager Urhausen dated December 21st, 1972, giving a detailed report on the status of this rezoning of property located on the north side of Butterfield Road approximately 150 feet west of Midwest Road. The board will be advised further as the matter proceeds. VII NEW BUSD=9 A. Sass Pancotto Variations BNuest - Private Well Each ,trustee was provided-with a copy of a letter from Mr. Sam Pancotto, Oak Brook Road, Oak Brook, dated January 2nd, 1973, westing a variation to permit the iwtallatl4n of an additional private well for purposes of replacing on existing private tell. After discussion, it was unanimously decided that this matter be placed on the agenda of the next Public Works Committee meeting. B. Nick Rallens L Inc. - Parking Variation Re®ueat An application for a public hearing requesting a parking variation for property located on the southeast corner of 22nd Street -and Route 83 wav filed with the viEllAge clerk on January 3, 1973. Pump operations were conducted on Unit #911, and familiariza- tion of equipment. Pump operations were conducted on Unit #916. The complete operation of the' pump was explained in detail. Two 21s" hand lines were laid, and hydrant hook -up was made.. Each man then went through the operation of the pump using charged lines. Drill was conducted on all department Scott Air Paks, 15 & 30 min. 1 in service company inspections were held at Lyons International* and Sunbeam Corporation. Pre - planning and familiarization with main electrical disconnects, gas shut -offs. penthouses, storage areas, sprinkler risers, and annunciator panels. Familiarization with standpipe, sprinkler connections, and hydrant locations, Also driver training with Unit #916. Reviewed department rescue equipment, K -12 saw, air cutting tools , - chains , - came -a- -longs , pry-bars,, and their proper use. Evolutions and theory taught this month, RegUl, raK l is Drill was conducted on the use of all basic fire department knots. Verious equipment was used to demonstrate the proper use of these knots.. Pump operations were, conducted on unit #911, and familiariza- tion of equipment. Pump operations were conducted on unit #916. The c6mplete operation of the pump was explained in detail. Two 2'h" hand lines were laid, and hydrant hoxcdup was made. Each man then went through , the .operation of, the pump using charged - lines. Drill was conducted on all department Scott Air Paks, 15 & 30 min. In service company inspections were held at Lyons International, and Sunbeam Corporation. Pre - planning and familiarization with mein electrical disconnects, gas shut -offs, penthouses, storage areas, sprinkler risers, and annunciator panels. Familiarisation with standpipe, sprinkler connections, and hydrant locations. Also driver training with Unit #916. Reviewed department rescue equipment, K -12 saw, air cutting tools, chains, come --a-- longs, Pry - Tears, and their proper use. Each man went through the complete operation of the Inhalator on Unit #915. Saecial Drills: A special written evaluation test was given to every man. The test lasted a total of two hours. Schools . MISCELLANEOUS: Met with the Division of Highways Local Roads Engineer in Springfield re: DuPage County dropping of York Road Maintenance. Additional work was done with respect to proposed Oak Brook Utility Company purchase. To pographic survey completed for Jorie Boulevard connection and design work and drawings were partially completed by us for the road, bridge, and street lighting. Drawings for sanitary sewer were completed by the Oak Brook Development Company and water main drawings have been ordered by them. Drawings for the Ginger Creek Culvert at Midwest Road were partially completed.
