A11 Trustees were present except Mr. Peter H. Dahmlow. II READING OF MINUTES Village Attorney Bowers advised that Item V. Section A - 1 should read "That $29900 be added to the police budget for the salary of Sergeant Theodore L. Treiber for the balance of the fiscal year." Trustee 0 =Brien moved - seconded by Trustee Hayes... That the minutes of January 12, 1965, be accepted as presented and corrected. Voice vote ail in favor. So ordered. III ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS A. Rezoning IP 1. SoI ug's Subdi�V..aion President Mohlman read a request from Mr. Frank Soukup for a rezoning of property located on 37th Street and Spring goad from R-2 to R -f, and a letter from Mr. Samuel F. Dean, Chairman of the Oak Brook Plan Commission dated December 23rd, 1964, approving this request. President Mohlman directed that this application be forwarded to the Zoning Board o`. Appeals for public hearing. 2. Bufs Reza President Moh.1man read a request from Richard and Jean Buis for a rezoning of property Loca.ed on Route #83 and 16th Street from R4L to Bd4. Presddent Mohlman Jirected that this be forwarded to the Plan Commission for their recommendation. IV FINANCIAL A. Treasurers Resort Village Treasurer Van Dyke presented a report for the month December, 1964, showing "cash on deposit" at the end of the month of $58,300.57 in the Corporate Account and $17,801.41 in the Road and Bridge Fund. Trustee Owen moved - seconded by Trustee Roseman... That the Treasurer's Report for the mouth of December, 1964, be approved as submitted. Voice vote - all in favor. So ordered. B. Approval o.! B,� ills All Trustees he- in been furnished wit' a list of bills (V -8 -6a) to be L.0 for December, 1964... Trustee Caen moved - seconded by Trustee O'Brien... (Total Building Permits $678.40) Trustee Owen moved - seconded by Trustee Rosman... That the Village Board accept the thiilding Inspector's report as submitted. Voice vote - all in favor. So ordered. B. Police Department 1. Police Report President Mohlman read the report of the Police Depart- ment activities for the month of December, 1964, and also their Juvenile Report for the year ending December, 1964. Trustee Owen moved - seconded by Trustee Havey... That the report of the police department be accepted by the Village Board as submitted and that this report be placed on file. Voice vote - all in favor. So ordered. 2. Unmarked Police Car Trustee Havey moved - seconded by Trustee Roseman... That the police department be authorized to rent an unmarked car (Oldsmobile F -85 Deluxe 4 -door) from the Laundale Auto Sales at $145.00 per month effective February lsc, 1%5. Insurance Committee Report Trustee Roseman reported his findings !.n connection with our present insurance program. It wee: decided to consoli- date our auto policies is order to effect a considerable savings. Also, a report was given on the availability and cost of death benefit insurance for the volunteer firemen of the Village of Oak Brook. Trustee O'Brien moored - seconded by Trustee Owen... That Associ4ted Agencies be awarded an insurance contract not to exceed $750.00 per year for a, $25,000 death benefit policy to cover volunteer firemen of the Village of Oak Brook and that the former policy be cancelled as of the effective date of the new policy. Girl Scout Request President Mohlman reed a Letter from the Girl Scouts of Wage Council requesting permission for their Annual Cookie Sale in the Village of Oak brook. It was decided that the president answer this letter approving this worthwhile project. U. village Service Contracts Trustee O'Brien requested the board to consider a review of the village service contracts, particularly engineering and accounting services. VII CONTIR CATION of MEETING Trustee Hayes moved - seconded by Trustee Owen... That this meeting be recessed and continued at 3;00 P.M. 7tursday, JanuarV 14th, 1965, at the Village Hall in order to discuss a proposal submitted by the Sunbeam Corporation. Services Department and tvo were retw =d to the department Juvenile Officer for Station Adjustment* Eight girls were sent to court, one was sentenced to the Illinois Youth Comndssio% Geneva School for Oirls, two were dismissed, three were placed on county probation reporting to the Du Page County Social Services Deputmxsat, one >riLis returned to the department Juvenile Officer for Station Adjustment and one case is still. pending in County Court. The most active grade period for males was from Freshman (9th.) to Serior (12th.) and the most active age group for males was 15 to 16 yearn old. The most active grade period for females was from Sophomore (10th.) to Junior (11th.) aa3 the most active age group for females was 15 to 16 years olde The most prominent offenses were ShopUtting, Sea Offenses, Larearys Curfew Violations and Alcoholic Beverages. One fllegit►aate child was born to a female juvenile from the village, the child is now in custody of the Catholic Charities, We assisted in handling of over 150 Juvenile® in calla outside of the village limits, the assists being made to the Du Page County Sheriff's Police and Sped 1. Deputys from the village. On calls outside the village limits we only assiat the department requesting the assistanoe, all Juvenile paper work and reports are completed by the arresting authority.
