II READING OF MINUTES Trustee WBrien moved seconded by Trustee Hayes.., That reading of the minutes of December 10, 1963, be suspended and that the minutes be accepted and approved as submittc_J. Voice vote - all in favor So ordered. III ORDIN&NC,ES and RESOLUTIONS A. Ordinances 1. Ordinance Grant iRUonin�Amendme.nt for Henke E:- operty� — Trustee 0 t Bz ien moved - seconded by Trustee Hayes... That the ordinance granting a zoning amendment to property owned by Herman E. and Caroline F. .Menke rezonieg ihe property from R-42 to M be approved and adopted by the Village Boar: as read. Roll call vote: Ayes - Trustees Dehmlow, Faavey, Hayes, 02Brlen, Oven, Roseman and Prey. Mohltnan Hayes 4 None So ordered. 2. Re nest to Name Access Road to Swift & Company Swift President Mohlman directed that the above request to name the access read to Sgrift & Company Swift Drive be forwarded to the Village Attorney to draw up the necessary ordinance to be approved at such time as the road is dedicated to the Village of Oak Brook. Walthere for his time and effort spent an sa'.ving a number of burglaries within the Village which led to the solution of approximately 150 burglaries in the general area of northern illietids and southern Wisconsin. Vodicka submit to the Village Board a surveyor's plat of his property together with a certified copy of the Woodside Estates Homeowners' Association minutes approving this division of lot. 2. Midwest Country Club - Petition for Zoning,Amndment � .YrYNY �u�ll6sJYS�M4Y�P President Mohlman directed that the petition of Midwest Country Club to rezone its property from R -1 to 8-4 be forwarded to the Plan Commission for its reco=endation. 3. Shell Oil CgManZ - Sign a� *: Cerma k and Midwest President Mohlman directed that Shell Oil Company be advised to submit its request for a variation on the sign ordinance together with a check in the amount of $50.00 for filing fee to the Village Board. 4. D Page_ County Zoning Board of App l�s Letter President Mohlman asked that the Plan Commission send a representative to the DjPa a County Zoning Board meeting January 16 if there is an objection to the construction of a radio tower north of Oak Brook. V FINANCIAL A. Treasurer's Report Village Treasurer VanDyke presented a report for the month of December, 1963, showing "cash on deposit" at the end of the month of $29,092.35 in the Corporate account and $4,568.82 in the Road and Bridge Fund ae::ount. 0- 4/64 Trustee Owen moved • seconded by Trustee O'Brien... Moh lman Mayes n None So ordered. D. Oakbrook Terrace Inc. Contractual Liability Trustee Roseman moved - ceconded by Trustee O'Brien... Mohlman Nayes -- Bone So ordered. E. Votor Fusel Tax Preasident Mohlma x advised the Village. Bogard that we mire received the notice of the first allotnwnt to the Village of Oak Brook for Motor Fuel. Tax funds far thb month of December in the amount of $846.82. VI REPORT OF OFFICERS A. BuiLdinj Departmeat L. Building Insoector•s Eason The Building Inpector presented his report for the month of December (Total $830.15) Mm -stee O'Brien moved 4 seconded by Trustee Owen... Police_ Repflrt All Trustees having been furnished copies, President Mohlman read portions of the report of the Police Department activities for the month of December, 1963, said report being attached to these minutes. Voice vote - all in favor So ordered. 2. Patrolman Handal Promoted to Sergeant President Mohl.man advised that Patrolman Mandel had been promoted to Sergeant as of Jnnuary 10, 1964. 3. Increases in Police Depprtmert Personnel President Mohlman and Trustee Havey will meet with Chief Siudzinski to discuss necessary increases in Police Department personnel. 4. Insurance for Police Squad Cars Trustee Dahmlow recaomtended that the Village allow a $35.00 annual increase in the insurance premium for Police equsd cars in order to obtain a $50.00 deduct- ible, Police Committee will discuss this. Vil OIA BUSINESS A. New Year's Eve Closing Houss for Taverns President Hbhlman directed that the Village Attorney be be instructed to prepare an ordinance allowing a 4:00 A.M. closing tine for taverns on New Year's Eve* said ordinance to be approved by the Village Board. -III NEW BUSxNESS A. Oak Brook Civic Association Letter President Mohlman directed that the Oak Brook Civic Association letter suggesting changes in the Oak Brook Development Plan Map be forwarded to the Plan Commission for its recommendation.
