I CALL MEETING TO ORDER:

The Special Meeting of the President and Board of Trustees was called to order
by President Cerne ail. the Onk Brook Bath & Tennis Club of the Oak Brook :ports
Core at 7:35 P.M.. The Meeting was called pursuant to Notice given as required
by Statute, a copy of which is attached.

Trustee Watson was seated at 7:48 P.M.
III PROPOSED F/Y/ 84--85 `SPORTS CORE BUDGET:
Each Trustee was in receipt of a detailed draft of the proposed F/Y 1984/85
Sports Core Budget., President Cerne briefed the purpose of the budget,
specifically 40 it .rexaeid to Re6ldeht /Non -- Resident user charges as outlined
in the Sports 'dbre Fundf 93ala n' eC ," Summary." ' The history of the acquisition
of the Sports Core and the past operational, experience of the Bath & Tennis
Club was xei.t4kiited J'9r' the piitpo6e " f�' budgt decisions. This culminated in
the Trustees ,taking a'position 'that ,.the - ptep4ritiod of a five (5) year Long
Range Financial P,l� n can now begin as•there is a history of operational
experieneePupon,awlaid'h io VAse' tu'tuYia ddeis'i.ons. Staff indicated that four (4)
to six (6) '`months is a reasonabbfe t` 6a 'frame for the preparation of this docu-
ment, and it 'was' the consensus of opin..on that it is to be a goal. for 1985.
Concern was #.4pressed about serving the residents first, without neglecting
the corporate:,•resfdents. As the Golf Club and Bath & Tennis Club are open
to the publid'y'consideration to the non - resident catagories must be given.
After detailed 'discussion, the Trustees agreed to:
1. 'Remove from consideration the proposed membership fees
related to Corporate Family aiid Corporate Individual of
the Bath & Tennis Clut; and
2. In the preparation of,tbe F/Y 1985/86 Budget, that consider-
ation be given to the removal of the fees related to Prior
Resident; and Prinr Non - Resident memberships of the Bath & Tennis
Club.
ni,scussion moved on to proposed capital improvements at the Bath & Tennis Club
with this Truetesa making an on -site inupection of the kitchen facilities.
The tIVAC system of the Bath & Tennis Club is reported by staff as not operating
cuff iciaantly, and direction was given to staff to prepares a history of the
HVAC system, including an energy analysis.
The remainder of the Items related to the Sports Core budgot is to be reviewed
at the Ugular Committee - Hof- ths-Wbula Meeting of February 13, 1984.
