January 22, 1980
.I CALL MEETING TO ORDER
The Regular Meeting of the Board of Trustees was called to order at 7:30 P.M.
by President Cerne in the Samuel E. Dean Board Room of the Village Commions.
Village Clerk, Marianne Lakosil, administered to John R. Lavery the Oath of
Office for the appointed position of Village Trustee.

$148,532.93 to mature at Great American Savings & Loan on April

B. Change Order #11 - Oak Brook Golf Course Pond Excavation

To approve Change Order #11 to Wadsworth Golf Construction Company
of the Midwest, Inc., for costs incurred for excavation of ponds,
north 9 holes of dewatering and dragline for the total amount of
$15,000.00.

C. Change Order #12 - Oak Brook Golf Course

To approve Change Order #12 to Wadsworth Golf Construction Company
of the Midwest, Inc., to supply and install 810' of 4" plastic drain
the and 6 catch basins to be located behind 4 green and between
8 green and 9 tee for the total amount of $2,600.00.

of the Finance Officer, Kathy Gregory, in her letter of January 7, 1980.

This item tabled from Meeting of January 7, 1980.

To table this item until the lighting at the subdivision entrance along
Oak Brook Road is activated.

B. Oak Brook Golf Course Building - Water Main Relocation
In the process of making the water service connection, the existing water
main was located approximately 5 to 6 feet into the building and under the
foundation. Bids were solicited from ten underground contractors, with
seven returning proposals. Relocation of water main is necessitated.

To accept the low bid from William B. Soltwisch & Company, Inc. in
the amount not to exceed $7,975.00 and waive the bidding require-
ments due to the emergency, with payment to be made from the Golf
Course Fund.

On January 8, 1980, two (2) bids were opened to supply the furniture and
furnishings for the Village of Oak Brook Golf Course Building.

To award the contract to Thomas Interior Systems, Inc., for the
furniture and furnishing, (no carpeting), in the amount of $10,373.00.

On January 8, 1980 two (2) bids were opened to supply the carpeting
for the Village of Oak Brook Golf Course Building.

To award the contract to Thomas Interior Systems, Inc., for Focus Bounty
58 ounce "Zaftee" Anti -Golf Spike Carpet for $18.70 per square yard, ap-
proximately 240 square yards at a price of $4,488.00.

D. Report of Activities
Communications & Sports Core

Trustee Philip reported: A quarterly mewsletter will be mailed to the residents.
Finance F Personnel
Trustee Rush reported: Budget is on schedule.
Public Safety - Transportation - Library
Trustee Lavery reported: Meeting held with Fullersburg Woods residents on
traffic study. IDOT has approved improvements for Route 83 including Bridge
repair at Ogden Avenue and at the Burlington Railroad. Mayors and Managers
to recommend Phase II of the Route 83 Study.
Pulbic Works
Trustee Congreve reported: Public Works Department received the Front End
Loader, and expects delivery of the Dump Truck with Plow to be delivered
in February. Met with Yorkshire Woods residents on proposed improvements.
Zoning & Planning
Trustee Reynolds reported: Letter from Intergovernmental Committee suggesting
meeting to discuss contest for Graue Mill logo. Graue Historical Gateway
Ordinance recommended for approval by the Plan Commission and Public Hearing
by Zoning Board of Appeals to be held February 5, 1980. Appeal of Building
Commissioner's decision relative to number of stories allowed for the Drake Oak
Brook to be heard by Zoning Board of Appeals on February 5, 1980. Federal
Flood Plain Insurance Act requires an Official Flood Plain Map.
VII NEW BUSINESS
A. Grading Sheets - Insurance Service Office
Trustee Lavery commented that the Village of Oak Brook protection class has improved
from current class 5 to a class 4, based on the completion of the evaluation of the
fire insurance classification for our Village.
B. Collins Development Company, Inc., - Drake Oakbrook - York Road at 22nd Street
Zoning Amendment F7 Special Use
Referred to Plan Commission Meeting of February 18, 1980, and Zoning Board
of Appeals Meeting of February 5, 1980.
