The regular board mect,ing was called to order at F;03 P _H, by
Prea.ldent Dean. All trustees were present.

Trustee O'Brien moved - seconded by Trustee Hayes.

Each trustee receLved a copy of a memorandum from Plan
Coamission Chairman Swain, dated January 20th, 1971, re-
nesting that the plan commiesion's petition regarding the
proposed Planned unit Development be withdrawn. After
discussion, the foll,oWing motion was made,
Trustee Roseman waved - seconded by Trustee Rush,.„
That this petition not be postponed until the Illinois
State Toning Laws Study Commission's action to clarified,
but be postponed only until the agenda if the Boning
board will permit ample t$me for said hearing_

Trustee O'Brien repor! ed on the study made by the police
am 1 it t ee regarding the appointment of a new police chief
and recommended Mr. Rey L. Sizemore of Apopka, Florida for
this ®osftionr
President Dean approved the reeommendatlan of the police
committee and officially appointed 14r. Sizemore as police
chief of the Village of Oak Brook,
Trustee O'Brien moved! - seconded by Trustee Congreve . , .
That the appointment of Chief Ray L. Sizemore be approved
by the village board to be effective as of January 27th,

insurance coverage study being prepared by F. C. Fry and
Associates. and a 1 tic► reported on H* attendance at the fourth
annual Governmental Frisk Manages nt Seminar held at the College
of Business and Public Admintstration and the Division of
Continuing Educat ion at the Uaa lver&i.t of Arizona on January
21, 22 and 23, 1971.. Mr. Urhauo en will orepare a full written
report fir submission to the board at a lator date.
b. Extension of Village Hatt and Grounds
Each trustee was provided with an agreement coveritkA the
purchase of 2,2281 acres of real estate from the Oa. Brook
Development Company and an agreement covering the gift of
approximately 2.4 acres from the Butler Company immediately
north and west of the present village hall fire house complex.
Trustee Howell moved - seconded by Trustee Rush .
That the village acautre this additional property as described
in the two agreements and that the village attorney be directed
to prepare the neeebsary ordinance embodying the two contracts
which have been executed by the parties concerned; and that a
cemmunication be directed ro Mr. Butler tbenki.ng him for the
above land g-ift and for his continuing interest in the village-
Voice vote - all in favor. So ordered,
E: General Planning and Resource Consultants Contract
Each trustee was provided with a memorandum from P Lmn Co>mmsission
Chairman David Swain- dated January 20tb, 1471. renuesting
suspension of any further payment, to GPRC pending satisfactory
completion of the contract,
Trustee Howell moved - seconded by Trustee Congreve..
That the board concur with Chairman Swain's recommendation,

Each trustee was aaravidded with a memorandum from Trustee bush
