December 17, 1962. Roll call of directors indicated that all were present except George Fredericks. Secretary conduoted a roll call of all membership to assure that sufficient were present to ratify the contract negotiated oy the Negotiating Committee of the Board of Directors with the Village of Oakbrook. Attorney Trefts read the 2ontraet to the membership. Mr. Fry discussed the value of a prrformance bond to be re- quired of the Village to assure fire protection of those re- siding without the Village but within the fire district. There was a general discussion by the membership of the advantages and disadvantages of the bond to insure performance by the Village. Mr. Jenkins moved that the contract be ratified as read, seconded by Mr. Iozza. Upon the secrotary's roll call there were 65 yeas and 7 nays. Motion carried. Mr. Fry feels a conflict of interest (1) notice improperly drawn; (2) to protect the best interests of those outside the Village they should as a minority take these steps: (1) the minority will ask the Village of Oakbrook to insure performance by bond or (2) take steps to insure specific legal guarantees. On motion of Mr. Jenkins, seconded by Mr. Fuller•, the meeting was adjourned at 9 :45 p.m. Respec ully submitted, Elmer T. Car son( d. President
