Just a general observation that better driving conditions produces more traffic, consequently we have more vehicles subjected to collisions. Construction areas such as York Road between 31st and Spring Road has produced a vulnerable spot for accidents. We encountered our first vehicle- pedestrian accident in two years when a vehicle stzuck one of the workmen at the sewer construction site just south of Canterberry Lane. The workman was not injured severely, hew-as released after examination at the hospital. 1"re vehicle that struck the workmn left the scene of the accident, through the diligent efforts of Ptl. Planing of the Traffic Division, the driver of the hit and run vehicle was in custody four hours after the accident occurred. JRJ:man Respectfully subr:tiitted, R Sgt. John R.
