SPECIAL MEETING
February 9, 1976
I MEETING CALL
This Special meeting of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Oak Brook was called pursuant to action by the Board of Trustees taken at its
last regular meeting. The meeting was duly noticed by posting, and all news-
papers were notified of the call of this Special Meeting.
LaVerne Skale took the roll call at 7:00 P.M. All trustees were present;
President Howell was absent.
Trustee Philip moved - seconded by Trustee Glaves...
To appoint Trustee Congreve President Pro Tem in the absence of President
Howell.
Voice vote - all in favor.
So ordered.
President Pro Tem Congreve called for a motion to appoint Mrs. LaVerne Skale
as village clerk pro tern in the absence of Village Clerk Marianne Lakosil.
Trustee Rush moved - seconded by Trustee Cerne...
That Mrs. LaVerne Skale be appointed Village Clerk pro tem in the absence of
Village Clerk Marianne Lakosil.
Voice vote - all in favor.
II Drake- OakBrook Variation - Special Use
So ordered.
President Pro Tem Congreve acknowledged receipt of Petition signed by 182
residents of York Woods Community Association as well as letters and phone
calls from other residents of York Woods.
Considerable discussion was held by the trustees, and presentation was made by
Mr. Nicholas Kitsos, Attorney for the Drake and by Mr. Charles Brashears,
President of the Drake -Oak Brook. Mr. Brashears asked to withdraw request for
aparking variation and felt the necessity for rezoning was not necessary.
Mr. Brashears asked for consideration of the Special Use.
Trustee Brown moved - seconded by Trustee Cerne...
That since neither the Plan Commission or Zoning Board of Appeals has
recommended approval of this request for Special Use and since the
request does not meet the requirements of the Zoning Ordinance under
Section VIII, Paragraph F 2- (a), I move the request for Special Use be
denied.
Roll Call Vote: Ayes - Trustees Brown, Cerne, Glaves, Philip and Rush.
Nayes - President Pro Tem Congreve
Absent - President Howell So ordered.
III ADJOURNMENT - Time 7:45 P.M.
Trustee Brown moved - seconded by Trustee Cerne...
That this meeting be adjourned.
Voice vote - all in favor.
