Roll Call The regular meeting was called to order at 8:00 P.M. by President Howell All trustees were present. II. READING OF PIINUTES Trustee Push moved - seconded by Trustee Hayes... That the reading of the minutes of the regular meeting of January 28, 1975 be suspended and that they be accepted as submitted. Voice vote - all in favor. So ordered President Howell announced the regular Board of Trustees meetings will be called to order at 7:30 P.M., beginning February 25, 1975. III. ORDINANCES, RESOLUTIONS, VARIATIONS, PLATS, ETC. A. Resolution R-176, MFT - Traffic Signals Proposed resolution to appropriate $2,500.00 of MFT funds for maintenance and energy costs of the Ftraffic signal. Trustee Hayes moved - seconded by Trustee Congreve... That Resolution R -176 as presented be approved. Trustee Push roved - seconded by Trustee Baschen... That the recommendation of the Zoning Board of Appeals to deny the request of Dr. Buyer for a variation as presented be approved. Har-im arl and ( Keith Line Riding Academy --variation, non - conforming Request of H.i;. Hammarlund, 1201 - 35th Street for a variation be granted to permit the construction of a three (3) car garage to serve the existing residence. Trustee Rush moved - seconded by Trustee Baschen... That the recommendation of the Zoning Board of Appeals to grant the request of H. N'. Hammarlund for a variation to permit the construction of a three (3) car garage for autos of residents only as presented be approved. Oak Brook International Office Center - Sign variation Each trustee , %,as provided with a copy of minutes of Zoning Board of Appeals meeting of February 4, 1975 recommending approval of the request of Oak Brook International Office Center, Meyers Road & 22nd Street, for a variation to permit two (2) ground signs per lot totaling 160 sq. feet plus signs of each building of not less than 10,000 sq. feet, not to exceed 120 sq. feet per building. Trustee Push roved - seconded by Trustee Brown... That this be referred to the Village Attorney for review and to try to develop an alternate under the existing ordinance, and be presented at the next regular board meeting of February 25, 1975. Trustee Swain moved - seconded by Trustee Hayes... That the Village Board authorize the following at a sum not to exceed $1,700.00: 1. Computer analysis to provide the re- assignment of traffic related to the six -lane improvement of Route 83. 2. The revision of the Traffic Study report submitted January 5, 1975 to reflect the analysis listed above. 3. The preparation of a Summary Report. Amendment to Zoning Ordinance - Lots of Record Each trustee was provided with a copy of minutes of Zoning Board of Appeals meeting of February 4, 1975 recommending approval of the proposed amendment to the Zoning Ordinance, Section V. B, 2, relative to Lots of Record, as prepared by Attorney Bianucci in letter dated January 31, 1975. Trustee Push questioned if clarification of the existing ordinance is achieved by the proposed amendment. Trustee Swain questioned the ordinance as it relates to reduction of side yard requirements on a lot of record. President Howell recommended that the Amendment to the Zoning Ordinance be tabled and that the Village Attorney review and possibly redraft the provisions of Section V. B, 2. VII. NEW BUSINESS A. Election 1975 Each trustee was provided with a copy of memo dated February 7, 1975 from Clerk Lakosil relative to Regular Election to be held April 15, 1975. Trustee Congreve moved - seconded by Trustee Hayes... That the Village Attorney prepare the required ordinance. "S" Curve, Mey rs Road Corridor Each trustee was provided with a copy of letter dated January 21, 1975 from DuPage County Highway letter dated February 6, 1975 from traffic consultant James J. Benes & Associates, Inc. relative to proposed improvement of "S" curve to connect Fairview Avenue & Meyers Road from 35th Street to 38th Street. Trustee Swain moved - seconded by Trustee Brown... That Village Manager Carllignani advise the County of the James J. Benes report and recommend that on the basis of the traffic volumes, a single southbound and a single northbound be constructed, but that right -of -way for future four - lane improvement be acquired.
