Status and Progress Report - Miller Builders Pre- Annexation Manager Urbausen reported that this matter was referred bath to the W"tmunt lotting Board of Aopeala for a hearing on February 21st, 1973, and to the Westmont Board of Trustees on Monday evening. February 26th, 1973, at 8:00 P.M. B,- Status and Progrpsa Report - Laced America Corporation Each trustee oaw provided with a copy of a memorandum of record or..var :d by Manager Urhausen advising that the Hin$d;-le Plan Cawiu6ion met on February 8th, 1973,as a committee of the whoLe to consider a land use consultant's report pra parted by Ralf C. Campbell. and Aasoci.ates regarding the Land America Corporation Development, and that a three page critioue was forwarded to this body on February 7th. He also stated that final consideration will be scheduled by the Hinsdale Plan Commission within the ne3a several weeks. Each tr atea was provided with a memorandum from Manager Urh unsen staring that a letter dated January 22nd, 1973, _ was received from the ine;ur'ance Services Office of Illinois advising that the latest engineering evaluation of the fire protection facilities of the Village of Oak Brook resulted in a grading of 6th Class. A press release to this effect was distributed to the newspaper media present at the board meeting. INIE44 BUSINESS A, Street SuRerirtendent Stan Hagan Zesigtaation Manager Urhausen adviaed that Air. John "Stan" Kagan, Super- intendent of the Oak Brook Street Department, submitted his resignation effective as of April let, 1973. On behalf of the entire board, President Dean regretfully accepted Mr. Hagan' s resignation and it was unmr+.imously agreed that an appropriate resolution be prepared commending Mr. Hagan for his excellent service to the village. B. ]Lord and Taylor - Class B Liquor License Each board member was provided with a copy of a letter dated February 8th, 1973, from Fir. Robert A. Morris, Chairman, Health Education institute. Inc. renuesting a Class B Manor License for a benefit to be held at the Lord & Taylor store on Sunday, February 16th, 1973. The village board unanimously approved this request Rnd waived the fee for same. C. 22nd -Rourc A3 Signal S4•nchroni.zation and Miscellaneous TMICS Program Each trustee was provided with a memorandum dated February 9th from Engineer Dunkirk, stating that a meeting with the Illinois Department of Transportation was held to discuss the traffic signal problems around Oak Brook Shopping Center. It was recommended that a project be initiated to install additional signals and interconnect the existing and additional signals with the payment of same being made by TOPICS ,and WT funds. Trustee Hayes moved -- seconded by Trustee Rush... That the village board authorize the execution of an engineering aagr, ement by and between the Village of Oak Brook and Martina and VASconcelles Consulting angineeris covering pre] :minax7 engineering and construction engineering for the imp.0vtm,,nt uAl certain intersections and the coordination of traffic signals in the vicinity of the Oak Brook Center. Rush Horse Stable Setback and Acrea[e �ent - - An application for a public hearing was filed by Trustee Bush on February 9th, 1973, renuesting a variance to permit the relocation of a horse barn on his property located at 3721 Spring Road. Rrillsl Drill was conducted on the use of all basic fire department knots. Various equipment was used to demonstrate the proper use of these knots. Pump operations were conducted on Unit #911 using 2h” hand lines. Drill was conducted on all evolutions of the four man carry, and the three man carry, using the 35' 3 section extension ladder, and the 14' roof ladder. Auto extrication and rescue equipment was demonstrated tin two automobiles obtained for training purposes. Various tools used included, air chisels, spreaders, wedges, come• - a- longs, K -12 saw, pry -bars, chains, cribbing, etc. Elgle RXI1.�.ls.e. Inservice company inspections were held at Loard & Taylor in the Oak Brook Shopping Center. Donnelley Corporation Subdivision - Plat approved by the Village Board and Recorded Autumn oaks Unit I - Plat approved by Village Board and Recorded Kallens Towers Subdivision - Plat reviewed by Plan Commission and tentative approval recommended Reuben H. Donnelley Corporation Resubdivision - Plat was received and reviewed MISCELLANEOUS INSPECTIONS: Numerous inspections have been made to examine various street and drainage problems and work being done on approved permits. MISCELLANEOUS: Much additional work was done with respect to proposed Oak Brook Utility Company purchase. Detail drawings for Jorie Boulevard connection were partially completed by us for the road, bridge, and street lighting. Drawings for sanitary sewer were completed by the Oak Brook Development Company and water main drawings have been ordered by them. Drawings for the Ginger Creek Culvert at Midwest Road to be replaced by DuPage County are partially completed. The tentative layout for the Public Works Garage was reviewed in meetings with Holabird and Root and approved except for some minor details. Preliminary drawings for intersection and signal work on 22nd Street and for improvement of Spring Road and 16th Street are being prepared.
